Job Description

Your Career

Palo Alto Networks is scaling its investment in crowdsourced security with Huntr, our AI Threat Research Platform. By harnessing the collective intelligence of a community of threat researchers, Huntr gives us a critical edge in protecting our customers from a rapidly evolving threat landscape.

We’re seeking a strategic and execution-driven Senior Product Manager to own and elevate the experience for this global community. This is a unique product management role focused on a multi-sided platform, where you will facilitate the critical exchange between external researchers and our internal product teams. Your primary focus will be on the researcher side of this ecosystem, solving problems that increase the scale and quality of submitted threat research.

The ideal candidate brings deep experience in Security Research, Bug Bounty or Vulnerability Disclosure Programs and has a passion for building thriving communities. You are a systems thinker who understands how to balance the needs of different user groups whose goals may be adverse, and you are comfortable diving into technical discussions with engineering as well as collecting feedback from a diverse community of users.

Success in this role demands agility, excellent time management, and the ability to thrive in Palo Alto Networks’ fast-paced environment.

Your Impact

  • Own and execute the product roadmap for the researcher-facing side of the Huntr platform, with a focus on solving problems that increase program performance and the scale and quality of submitted threats.
  • Contribute to the broader threat research strategy, ensuring your roadmap aligns with overarching business goals.
  • Drive initiatives to improve key platform KPIs tied to program performance, such as researcher activation, retention, and signal-to-noise ratio.
  • Lead the platform's evolution from its current bug bounty model to a competition-based model and oversee a complete revitalization of the user experience and brand.
  • Act as the primary advocate for our Huntr community, serving as the voice of the user by validating features, testing builds, and guiding post-launch iterations.
  • Partner with UX to craft intuitive and engaging user experiences and workflows that motivate researchers and reward high-quality submissions.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and marketing to deliver high-quality releases, from concept to launch.
  • Act as an evangelist for the Huntr community, articulating the product vision and value proposition while cultivating alignment between researchers and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

Your Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in Cybersecurity, Security Research, or Bug Bounty/Vulnerability Disclosure Platforms, with at least 6 years in Product Management.
  • Experience managing multi-sided platforms, communities, or open-source projects is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to translate complex user needs and technical considerations into a clear, prioritized roadmap and scalable product deliverables.
  • Proficiency in data-driven decision-making, with experience defining and tracking KPIs related to platform health and user engagement.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build alignment and trust with a diverse community and internal cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Creative, first-principles thinker with a predisposition towards innovation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver compelling presentations to both technical and business audiences.
  • Education: BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

The Team

To stay ahead of the curve, it’s critical to know where the curve is, and how to anticipate the changes we’re facing. For the fastest-growing cybersecurity company, the curve is the evolution of cyberattacks and the products and services that proactively address them. Our Product Management Team helps us do just that.

Our organization and employees are committed to changing as rapidly as our industry’s threats do, and to do that, we need creative product teams to address emerging cyber threats. They provide behind-the-scenes support for our products by being a source of information on our products for our engineers, staying on top of the environment we sell in, and helping to implement product-wide technical solutions based on our client’s feedback and needs. As threats and technology evolve, we stay ahead to accomplish our mission.

Our Commitment

We’re problem solvers that take risks and challenge cybersecurity’s status quo. It’s simple: we can’t accomplish our mission without diverse teams innovating, together.
