Palo Alto Networks' enterprise architecture group is looking for an Automation engineer to be part of our quality assurance team. You will be part of a world-class IT organization that works on various ground-breaking technologies and supports the entire enterprise. We want a passionate automation engineer who loves to innovate and build high-quality products. Your Impact
You will take a hands-on role in developing test automation frameworks, strategies, and solutions to support high-quality product releases. Key responsibilities include,
Analyzing business and functional requirements to drive meaningful test coverage
AI-Driven Test Design: Leverage AI/ML for intelligent Automated Test Design for APIs, UI, and back-end systems
AI Fluency in Practice: Utilize generative AI and other AI-powered tools for efficient test code generation, synthetic data creation, and anomaly detection within our applications and CI/CD pipelines.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams across geographies to ensure test efficiency and effectiveness
Contributing to tool development, CI/CD pipelines, and innovative quality solutions like test data management and heuristic analysis
Qualifications
Your Experience
4+ years of hands-on experience in Quality Engineering or Software Development in Test (SDET).
Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or a similar object-oriented languages (2 years experience preferred)
Strong practical knowledge and experience applying AI/ML concepts and tools to software quality challenges. This includes hands-on experience with generative AI for code/test generation.
Experience in test automation framework development and tooling for large-scale systems
Experience with AI-powered copilot tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Playwrite, Cursor & Amp) for script generation and development productivity.
Hands-on expertise with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Docker, or Harness
Exposure to innovative QA practices like test data generation, mocking, or AI-based test insights
Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, test design, and integration strategies
Strong communication skills and can-do attitude

They are the first line of defence in vetting any new product build and assisting our engineers in building reliable and scalable solutions.
