Our client designs, manufactures and distributes
suspension products for the automotive aftermarket and other specialty vehicles. The
company is the current market leader in suspension systems products. Gabriel NA
currently employs more than 1,300 salaried and hourly employees at several
locations in the US and Mexico. The company has two manufacturing facilities; one
domestic US and one in Mexico. Revenues for the company are approximately
$200MM.

Reporting to Corporate Cost Accounting Manager, this position is an opportunity to learn and use skills within the SAP enterprise system for a worldwide, growing, private company that provides job diversity and upward career path

Principle Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing and developing cost accounting procedures for our production and distribution facilities around the world,
• Prepare / review monthly closing entries and analyses related to production and inventory variances

• Responsible for the development of raw materials, work in process and finished goods standards.
• Oversees the reconciliation of inventory between the general ledger and SAP.
• Oversees and develops costing methods and systems for all divisions.
• Supervises the development of Direct Labor Standards for each Company product.
• Develops the Overhead Application Rate to be used by the product line.
• Responsible for the tracking of manufacturing variances.
• Assists in the implementation and development of an MRP system.
• Assists with annual budget process including capital budgets.
• Performs other related duties and tasks as required – i.e. bills of material, production routings, etc.

• 4 year accounting degree required.
• 6 year of accounting/finance experience with 3 years of recent cost accounting experience (manufacturing company experience a plus).
• Willingness and ability to travel 20%
• SAP experience is also a plus
• Possess excellent computer skills with emphasis in Excel.
• Analytical, self-motivated, able to work alone or within a team in a fast pace environment. Requires ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
