About this opportunity
The purpose of the HSES Advisor position is to provide hands on support and drive consistent implementation of the Health, Safety, Environmental and Sustainability systems across the sites, to ensure the organisation meets its legal and ethical obligation to provide a safe workplace. To consult and collaborate with all key stakeholders and drive continuous improvement.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Champion a positive safety culture and lead HSES initiatives across the site.
- Conduct risk assessments, audits, inspections and incident investigations.
- Support the implementation of HSES systems, policies and compliance requirements.
- Drive corrective actions, continuous improvement and risk mitigation activities.
- Deliver HSES training, coaching and awareness programs across multiple shifts.
- Partner with leaders, employees, unions and regulators to achieve strong HSES outcomes.
- Monitor performance, prepare reports and ensure timely incident management and action closure.
Your skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you’ll have:
- Experience in Health, Safety, Environment & Sustainability roles within manufacturing, logistics or industrial environments.
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, risk management and incident investigation.
- Confident communicator who can influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Proactive, solutions-focused and passionate about continuous improvement.
- Strong administrative and computer skills.
- Current driver's licence.
- HSES Auditor qualifications or training.(desireable)
- ICAM investigation experience.(desireable)
- Lean Manufacturing knowledge.(desireable)
- Experience in a large or multinational organisation.(desireable)
Qualifications
- Experience in a Safety and Environmental position.
- Preferred Certificate IV, Diploma in Environmental field. or similar tertiary qualification;
