Job Description

SALARY RANGE:  UP TO 85K DEPENDING UPON EXPERIENCE

MUST EXPERIENCE IN THE FOLLOWING TO QUALIFY:

  • Contract management experience. Will not only negotiate purchasing items but also manage service contracts to ensure they are complete and being followed.
  • Managing temp services and their contracts.
  • Purchasing of IT equipment and other major business purchases.


•Research contracts, suppliers, equipment and evaluation of new products 

•Oversee activities related to the request, sourcing and purchase of equipment, supplies and services

•Oversee major vendor contracts.

•Develop in concert with Accounting, Procurement Policies and Procedures to enhance internal purchasing controls

•Facilitate development of productivity and savings pipeline. (ie Payroll aps, OCR)

•Provide monthly reporting on key purchasing spend

•Seek and Support initiatives which simplify or reduce transactional activities

•Maintain positive, professional supplier relationships

•Other duties as required 


Facilities Management

•Develop and present recommendations on facility utilizations and space protocol (or standards for office size etc.)

•Research alternative facility options to optimize space utilization. (ie. Possibly rent offices in Boston)

•Coordinate new site selection

•Provide support to local facilities management for ad hoc needs. (ie. Water detection system)



Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in purchasing/procurement/sourcing strategies

• Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers

• Experience in collecting and analyzing data

• Experience with spreadsheets and Excel

• Superior communication and negotiation skills

• Talent in networking and building relationships 

• Experience managing contracts 

• Ability to close deals

• Ability to foster lasting, quality relationships

• Flexibility and a desire to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented organization

• Business and financial acumen 

• BA/BS in Business Administration or related field
