Job Description

  • 12 month maximum term contract

  • Hybrid working

  • Shape products that help students make confident study decisions

As a Product Manager at OUA, you will lead cross-functional teams to shape and deliver product initiatives that improve outcomes for both students and our university partners.

You’ll work on meaningful problems where the challenge is not identifying the issue, but determining the best solution. The role requires strong commercial thinking, curiosity and the ability to connect the dots across initiatives, teams and priorities.

You’ll proactively shape opportunities, define direction and guide teams toward meaningful outcomes.

While delivery craft is an important part of the role, this role goes beyond execution.  You’ll play a key role in influencing direction, building alignment and articulating the story behind why the priority matters.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading product initiatives that deliver meaningful customer and business outcomes
  • Translating strategic priorities into clear product opportunities, roadmaps and delivery plans
  • Identifying and solving problems across the end-to-end student journey to improve decision confidence and enrolment outcomes
  • Using data, research and experimentation to uncover insights about customer behaviour, validate opportunities and test solutions
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams including design, engineering, marketing and advisory to deliver impactful product experiences
  • Aligning with other Product Managers and stakeholders to ensure a cohesive end-to-end product experience across OUA
  • Monitoring performance and continuously improving product experiences through data, insights and experimentation

What you’ll bring

  • You’re an experienced Product Manager who thrives at the intersection of customer value, business impact and product craft, with strong delivery practices across agile teams
  • You’re comfortable navigating ambiguity, able to simplify complex problems, shape direction and move initiatives forward with clarity
  • You bring a commercial mindset, connecting product decisions to broader business and customer outcomes
  • You’re confident leading complex initiatives across multiple teams, building alignment and momentum through influence rather than authority
  • You’re proactive in problem framing and prioritisation, able to make thoughtful trade-offs and sequence work to maximise impact
  • You’re fluent in data, metrics and experimentation, using insights not just to report on performance but to inform decisions and improve outcomes
  • You communicate with clarity and purpose, able to tell compelling stories about priorities, decisions and progress
  • You take ownership of outcomes, holding yourself and others accountable for delivering meaningful impact
  • You’re motivated by OUA’s mission and passionate about improving access to education
