Lifecycle Strategy Manager
- Full-time
Company Description
At Open Universities Australia (OUA), we believe quality education should be accessible to everyone.
For more than 30 years, we’ve helped over 400,000 students take their next step. Often during some of the most important moments of their lives. Every experience we create, conversation we have and decision we make helps open new doors for learners across Australia.
When we do our best work, we help change lives every day.
Our values guide how we work together. We act for our customers, care for each other and focus on continuous improvement. We are proud of our friendly, curious and inclusive culture where people are trusted, supported and encouraged to grow.
Job Description
We’re looking for a Lifecycle Strategy Manager to help shape the future of how OUA engages with learners.
This is a rare opportunity to rethink how we support students across their entire journey. From first exploration through to enrolment and progression.
You’ll lead the evolution of OUA’s lifecycle marketing strategy and engagement model. Bringing together audience insight, behavioural science and technology to create connected experiences that help students make confident decisions about their education.
A key part of the role will be reviewing how lifecycle engagement works today across technology, data and ways of working. You’ll then define the future approach that will support OUA’s next phase of growth.
If you enjoy solving complex problems, connecting strategy with execution and building experiences that genuinely help people move forward, this role will give you the space to do it.
What you’ll be doing
Define OUA’s next generation lifecycle marketing strategy and build a clear multi-year roadmap.
Review current lifecycle engagement capabilities across technology, data, journeys and ways of working. Then define the future approach.
Design connected lifecycle experiences that guide learners through key moments in the student journey.
Partner with Customer Insights to deepen audience understanding and strengthen segmentation and decision frameworks.
Apply behavioural insight and experimentation to reduce friction, increase learner confidence and support progression.
Build strong relationships across Content, Product, Engineering and Advisory teams to influence roadmaps and align delivery.
Develop the strategic case for change and help lead the implementation of OUA’s future lifecycle engagement model.
What you’ll bring
Experience leading lifecycle, CRM or customer engagement strategy in complex organisations.
Familiarity with marketing automation and engagement platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Hubspot, Braze or Marketo.
A strong ability to lead strategic change and influence senior stakeholders.
Experience improving marketing technology, data or engagement capabilities to support future growth.
A strategic mindset with the ability to turn insight into action.
A data driven approach that uses experimentation and audience insight to guide decisions.
Experience in a service-based industry such as financial services or education where trust and long-term relationships matter.
