Job Description

As a Cloud Delivery Architect you will be responsible for defining and driving the technical architecture of cloud solutions, with a specialized focus on AWS and Azure platforms, integrating DevOps best practices, and delivering comprehensive observability for clients utilizing Ollion’s Managed Services. This role primarily focuses on technical design, delivery oversight, and serving as the Technical Account Lead, ensuring the successful implementation of scalable, highly reliable, and measurable client outcomes.

 

This position requires a technical leader who can translate strategic requirements into tangible, working solutions, with a deep understanding of the full lifecycle of a multi-cloud native application, from IaC implementation through automated CI/CD pipelines, and continuous operations focused on Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles, logging, metrics, and tracing.  Furthermore, the role involves leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Generative AI capabilities to deliver operational efficiency.

Job Responsibilities

Technical Account Leadership & Delivery Oversight

  • Serve as the Technical Account Lead on select Managed Services Clients, contributing technical expertise.

  • Provide leadership and mentorship to Delivery teams during project delivery, ensuring quality, consistency, efficiency and be an escalation POC

  • Perform technical reviews of Client’s existing cloud deployments and provide continuous recommendations to proactively identify and prevent issues

  • Work closely with the Client Success Manager to communicate timelines, resources, and progress to all stakeholders proactively.

  • Continuously assess client needs and identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell additional Ollion services.

  • Oversee delivery team adhere’s to Ollion’s standards ensuring consistent delivery excellence and documentation is maintained.

  • Serve as an architect-level escalation point for complex and oft-ambiguous issues presented with ambiguity, helping guide junior engineers in sound engineering approaches and technical discovery

Architecture, DevOps, and Observability Design & Implementation

  • Define and design secure, scalable, and cost-efficient cloud architectures on AWS and Azure.

  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to design innovative solutions tailored to Client’s business needs, focusing on delivering measurable Client outcomes.

  • Architect and implement robust observability solutions for managed services clients using cloud-native tools and third-party stacks, ensuring deep insights via logs, metrics, and traces.

  • Develop and implement CI/CD pipeline blueprints to enable rapid, safe, and automated software delivery.

  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions for multi-cloud deployments using Terraform or cloud-specific tools.

Automation, Troubleshooting, and Standards

  • Apply AI-driven tools (e.g., AIOps) for advanced log analysis, anomaly detection, and predictive scaling to improve managed service reliability and efficiency.

  • Develop and maintain automation scripts for deployment, configuration management, and operational tasks

  • Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex, multi-service production deployments, quickly diagnosing root causes related to networking, security, performance bottlenecks, and service failures across the managed AWS and Azure environments.

  • Develop scalable architectures and repeatable solution designs that drive consistency and efficiency.

  • Collaborate with delivery teams to maintain technical runbooks and standards.

  • Work as part of a team for a 24/7 rotating schedule including US hours and on-call rotation

  • Undertake any other duties of a similar level and responsibility as may be required from time to time

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience on a technical team as a Cloud Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Security Operations and 8+ years in IT

  • Understanding and experience in Cloud Technologies. Should possess general familiarity across all three major CSPs (GCP, AWS and Azure) and expert level on at least one

  • Strong proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, and interacting with cloud APIs.

  • Extensive experience with troubleshooting complex, distributed cloud environments.

  • Experience with containerization (e.g., Kubernetes, Serverless) orchestration and IAC tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)

  • Familiarity with cloud-native applications, microservices, and DevOps practices

  • Thorough understanding of LLMs, RAG models, Generative AI and Agentic Ai use cases and implementations.

  • Strong understanding of networking protocols, security best practices, and compliance requirements.

  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

  • Ability to draft, define, and execute technical objectives based on business needs and complex stakeholder relationships, while demonstrating understanding of nuance and customer perception around complex tasks
