Job Description
Preference for candidate located on the West Coast. Northern CA is ideal.
This is the perfect opportunity for someone currently excelling as an Account Manager or Sales Manager - actively growing your account base and ready to take the next step on a path to future leadership.
The Sales Account Manager is responsible for managing strategic accounts and driving business acquisition within a defined category across all channels. With a strong background in sales, operations, and supply chain management, this role focuses on portfolio management, forecasting demand, managing inventory, and optimizing logistics to support both sales growth and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of operational processes, supply chain dynamics, and account management, ensuring seamless coordination between sales, inventory, and fulfillment to meet customer needs.

Responsibilities:
- Business Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement short- and mid-term business strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
- Forecasting & Demand Planning: Utilize market trends, historical data, and customer insights to develop accurate sales forecasts and coordinate with supply chain teams to ensure optimal inventory levels
- Account & Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key global accounts, ensuring alignment with business objectives and fostering long-term partnerships
- Sales & Revenue Growth: Drive sales performance through data-driven decision-making, market analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to optimize pricing, promotions, and distribution
- Operations & Supply Chain Coordination: Leverage operational expertise to streamline inventory management, logistics, and order fulfillment, reducing inefficiencies and enhancing service levels
- Legal Compliance & Contract Management: Collaborate closely with the sales, production, and quality teams to ensure all contracts adhere to company guidelines and regulatory requirements. Safeguard the company's interests by meticulously reviewing and negotiating terms, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and supporting the achievement of business objectives
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with marketing, finance, and operations to execute account-specific initiatives and develop strategies that enhance market penetration and brand visibility
- Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), create sales reports, and present insights to senior leadership to ensure transparency and accountability in achieving targets
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent discipline
- Minimum of 7 - 10+ years of sales/marketing experience
- Ideally experienced with Key Account Management Programs
- Proven experience in sales, account management, or business development within consumer products, logistics, or a related industry
- Strong operations background with expertise in supply chain, inventory management, and fulfillment processes
- Ability to analyze sales data, identify trends, and develop actionable strategies to drive revenue growth
- Experience working with global key accounts and managing high-value client relationships
- Proficiency in CRM software, SAP, or other enterprise sales and inventory management systems
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and strategic planning abilities
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Mostly local to Northern California travel. Possible customer visit or corporate travel additional.
Additional Information
Salary Range: The expected salary range for this position is between $140,000- $170,000 annually. Actual pay will be adjusted based upon candidate experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
