Job Description

Trainer request: HR courses

We are looking for a trainer to deliver Staffing courses, Labour Relations and  Disability Case Management.

What we look for in the candidate:

·      Experience as a trainer for adults minimum of twenty-five (25) days

Minimum of five (5) years of experience, working in the area of Staffing (including as an instructor) within a public and/or private organization. Working in the area of Staffing, Labour Relations and /or Disability Case Management, includes performing and/or teaching  some of the following tasks:

Staffing
a.     Provide guidance to managers on policy interpretation, recruitment and selection;
b.     Coordinate nomination processes;
c.      Develop staffing plans;
d.     Assist in the development of assessment tools. Working within the public and/or private sector includes as an employee and/or as a consultant

Labour Relations
a. Provide managers with advice and guidance on Labour Relations issues; 
b. Negotiate collective agreements; 
c. Investigate harassment complaints; d. Coordinate the grievance process.

Disability Case Management

a. Coordinate the departmental Disability Management Program; 
b. Manage Disability Cases; 
c. Provide advice on return-to-work procedures; 
d. Provide guidance to managers on Disability Management.

·      Have up to three (3) years of experience, working at the management level in the area of Human Resources Management or Human Resources. The definition of management level is working as a Human Resources (HR) specialist at the Team Leader level and/or above (HR Manager, Director in HR, and Director General in HR) in the public sector or an equivalent rank in the private sector.

·      Experience working in/with at least one (1) federal public sector organization, working as a HR Specialist where the work undertaken included Staffing. Working within the federal public sector includes as an employee and/or as a consultant
