Company Description

This role supports the organization’s data protection, privacy compliance, and AI governance program across the Americas. The position ensures that personal data is handled in accordance with applicable local regulations and company policies.

Working closely with the Global Privacy, Product & AI Legal team, this role plays a key part in monitoring compliance, raising awareness across the organization, supporting contract reviews, and advancing responsible AI practices. The position serves as a strategic partner and right hand to the Americas Privacy Leader, with strong opportunity for growth and ownership.

Job Description

  • Support and monitor data privacy and protection compliance across the Americas, ensuring adherence to applicable regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct privacy assessments, identify risks, and support the implementation of mitigation measures for new projects, systems, and products.
  • Review, negotiate, and manage Data Processing Agreements (DPAs), privacy clauses, and third-party data protection requirements.
  • Support the handling of Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs), privacy incidents, and data breach response processes.
  • Maintain privacy documentation, compliance records, reporting, and governance activities using tools such as OneTrust.
  • Develop and deliver privacy training and awareness initiatives to promote a strong culture of data protection.
  • Support the implementation of AI governance frameworks, monitor evolving AI regulations, and promote responsible and compliant AI practices.
  • Collaborate closely with legal, business, and global privacy stakeholders across the region to support privacy and compliance initiatives.
  • Provide language support and contribute to regional and global privacy programs as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • IAPP certification (CIPP, CIPM, or equivalent) preferred.
  • 3-6 years of experience in privacy, compliance, governance, regulatory, or related areas.
  • Strong experience reviewing and negotiating Data Processing Agreements (DPAs), contracts, and legal documentation.
  • Solid understanding of data privacy, personal data protection principles, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Experience supporting privacy assessments (DPIAs), data breach response processes, and third-party risk management.
  • Familiarity with privacy management tools such as OneTrust.
  • Basic knowledge of AI concepts, AI governance, and emerging AI regulations.
  • Experience working in multinational or regional environments.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish; Portuguese and other languages are a plus.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills, with a proactive, collaborative, and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with cross-functional teams across regions.
