Job Description
The primary purpose of this role is to ensure delivery of accurate, high-quality data and actionable insights by effectively managing data cleaning, analysis, and KPI tracking. The role supports client service decision-making by transforming Nielsen datasets into meaningful business intelligence that drives growth, improves performance, and strengthens market understanding. This role will also be responsible for leading, managing, and supporting NIQ’s quality system improvement initiatives across departments and functions to ensure that quality initiatives and plans are executed and maintained in full compliance.
Responsibilities
- Analyze structured and unstructured datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Identify and resolve field quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and integrity before analysis.
- Data consistency checks.
- Handling missing, duplicate, and anomalous data points.
- Ensure data collected follows all necessary standards and that data is reliable and trusted for use in projects.
- Partner closely with Project Management teams/CS teams on progress and deliverables.
- Monitor, evaluate, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) across projects.
- Identify gaps and recommend improvements based on KPI trends.
- Identifying anomalies and outliers in the data basis on the NIQ guidelines.
- Ability to manage multiple deliverables under tight timelines
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or related field .
- 2–5 years of experience in data analysis (preferably in market research).
- Strong proficiency in Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables), Analytical thinking and problem-solving and Attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Strong understanding of KPI frameworks and business metrics.
- Strong communication skills; able to present findings from Quality Control checks in a detailed and accurate manner.
- Solid understanding of field interviewing, preferably in market research; familiarity with commonly used terminology and jargon.
- Organized with strong time management skills; able to meet deadlines and follow-up on action items.
- Thorough understanding of the related NielsenIQ SOPs and field work standards.
- Computer literacy and accurate keyboard skills.
- Proficient in English both written and verbal.
