Job Description

Role purpose:

You will drive the overall sales in your scope; you will secure a sustainable sales pipeline developing new revenue opportunities while maintaining close customer relationships for existing accounts. Work with a group of talented sales associates to reach individual targets (sourcing and revenue) and contribute as one team.

In your role:

FMCG retail sales team is focused on growing revenue, finding new business opportunities, and recruiting new retailers across target provinces within the proximity region setting etc. Sales is a growth engine which is instrumental for the company’s success. More details as follow.

  • Highly-sales driven, esp. new business development on new revenue, new retailer client’s acquisition by sourcing new retailers and better data-feed features & inputs from existing account and 100% retention.
  • Secure account renewals and enhance the conditions of existing cooperation agreements with current retail partners.
  • Selling our core portfolio of products and services but also leveraging new solutions in areas of retail pricing, assortment and other collaborative programs to create the deepest possible dependency of retailers on our capabilities and insights.
  • Drive sales, renewals and overall growth of existing accounts securing sustainable and long-term pipeline, revenue opportunities; and maintain C-suite customer relationships.
  • Develop a strategic understanding of customer's industry/business/markets esp. in the dynamic and fast-evolving China retail industry.
  • Partner with Customer Success and other relevant functions to define Account Plans and JBPs and remove roadblocks for smooth sales operations, driving new client and seamless handover to servicing. Proactive alignment of NIQ value proposition to customers' needs.
  • Seek strategic expansion of customer network and strategic alliances to unlock new budget stakeholders. Develop effective long-term professional interactions with customers based on trust, working toward the best interests of those involved and providing positive results.
  • Effectively deal with pressure, maintain focus and intensity, and remain optimistic and persistent, even under adversity. Have the ability and propensity to recover quickly from setbacks, rejections, and conflicts and to maintain self-control in the face of hostility or provocation.
  • Gather and accurately assess information related to the organization’s formal and informal communication channels and solid relationships.
  • Makes sound business decisions based on a strong understanding of the company’s business model, strategic goals, and relevant policies, as well as best practices and current technologies in their own discipline or functional area.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years working experience in China retailer (esp. FMCG retail).
  • Solid sales skills and well-developed sales expertise in China retail industry, especially information, professional services, top retailers and relevant in-market retail trade etc. Strong retail knowledge and industry network preferred.
  • Solid understanding of data analytics industry, business model, products, services, and solutions.
  • Solid understanding of market trends and their interdependencies impacting customers.
  • Highly energetic and sales-driven mindset.
