Head of Software Development – Cyber Security
Working as part of the Cyber Security Engineering leadership group, as part of this role you will own critical Cyber Security systems and services, notably colleague login and access management.
You will manage multiple engineering teams and be responsible for the technical strategy to achieve the product roadmap for your area, in close collaboration with Product Management and Security domain specialists. You will also own both development of systems and services to achieve the defined security outcomes, and ongoing maintenance operations.
You are the owner of non-functional outcomes within your area, including performance, availability, reliability, security and cost.
To enable scaled, high-velocity delivery you will empower your team by creating an environment in which engineers can solve problems with high-quality engineering solutions that scale, perform and are reliable.
You will play a key role in building and developing your team’s capabilities through mentoring and technical leadership, continually look for ways to evolve and improve our technology, processes, and practices to ensure the right outcomes are delivered to high quality.
You will represent Cyber Security within our broader Engineering organization; building networks with the wider developer community to understand the broader system landscape and Cybersecurity-related challenges.
- A passion for Cyber Security
- Extensive experience in delivering enterprise software at scale
- Experience building, managing and developing teams and ways of working for scaled, high quality delivery and long-term innovation
- Experience managing multiple teams
- Experience mentoring and developing engineers
- Hands-on experience as a development engineer using a variety of languages and frameworks (Java, Spring Boot preferred), ideally using both public and private cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
- Ability to achieve & deliver projects by building consensus in a complex & distributed environment; strong communication and influencing skills
- Outstanding problem-solving abilities
