Job Description

To manage and coordinate a team responsible for the valuation of listed and unlisted client assets / investor portfolios across asset classes (equities, fixed interest, derivatives, unit trusts, money market and cash securities) within the SIMS Operations area of responsibility according to regulatory, performance and portfolio compliance reporting standards to ensure accurate and complete reporting and pricing (Net Asset Value) within set timeframes.

Build trusted relationships and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve pricing data issues, meet client's expectations, regulatory requirements and mitigate risk to SIMS.

Effectively coordinate, manage, coach, plan, prioritise, performance manage and set goals for self and team to deliver the day-today plans and contribute to the achievement of SIMS' strategic goals.

Ensure knowledge, understanding and adherence to all applicable regulations, policies, processes, procedures and work instructions and ensure the use of prescribed tools, templates and systems, ensuring all work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner and all relevant procedural / legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service, optimising governance and compliance whilst minimising risk.

Monitor, manage & resolve escalated operational problems, queries and system downtime to maintain efficient operations, the provision of a high-quality service to internal & external clients & to mitigate the risk of time delays & associated costs. Ensure robust end-to-end processes & procedures for the set up & maintenance of pricing data in the core systems. Collaborate with stakeholders & manage/support ad hoc projects that will result in continuous improvement within SIMS Operations.

Query resolution and tracking. Proactively liaise with stakeholders to understand and resolve escalated issues to ensure all pricing validations and queries / exceptions are resolved within SLA. Monitor and track trends to identify opportunities for operational improvement.
