RPA Process Controller (Charlotte or virtual)
POSITION OVERVIEW
As a member of Sonic’s Center of Process Excellence (CoPE) the Process Controller will be responsible for the daily administration of the automation software production environment, Level 1 support, and process monitoring and improvement using UiPath. The Process Controller will be responsible for managing the deployment of approved robotic code into the production environment including scheduling processes, monitoring resources, etc. The Process Controller will also be the first point of contact for issue resolution and will investigate and triage issues in to determine appropriate break-fix or escalation procedure. The Process Controller position will report to the Center of Process Excellence Operations Manager.
Job Duties
· Daily oversight and management of robot allocation and scheduling
· Monitor process outcomes and performance
· Investigate any exceptions encountered and determine exception volume and type
· Invoke appropriate incident management processes
· Manage incidents and provide L1/L2 support
· Schedule and/or perform code fixes
· Consolidate bot logs for reporting and optimizing utilization
· Bot performance and variance reporting
· Publish bot metric reports and issue analysis reports to leadership
· Weekly and monthly KPIs dashboard
· Update bot code and documentation
· Input and review new assessments in Automation Hub
· Work with SOX team to ensure compliance with controls
· Create and maintain system and process documentation
· Strive to take on more responsibility to alleviate work overload from CoPE teammates
· Be an evangelist of automation by identifying client needs and showcasing the best solution
· Expand UiPath platform knowledge, serving the enterprise as an expert technical resource
· 5-10% travel required
· Problem solve issues that arise in day to day running of RPA processes and providing timely responses and solutions as required
· Flexible to work across shifts and weekends per business needs
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
Minimum
· Understanding of basic automation principles and processes.
· Aptitude for logic-based approach to dissect and solve problems.
· Experience in production support capacity.
· Understanding of formal change control and defect management disciplines.
· Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
· Customer Service mindset with “How can I help?” attitude.
· Ability to communicate effectively in cross-functional teams.
· Comfortable working with, presenting to, and leading discussions through all levels of the organization.
· Ability to handle multiple projects without losing sight of individual details.
· Advanced Microsoft Office capabilities.
Preferred
· 3-5 years of providing operational or production level support
· Deep understanding of UiPath Platform and its functionalities
· Formal training in UiPath automation software
· UiPath Advanced Developer Certification (UiARD)
· Some experience with BI tools and/or SQL
· 1+ year of running and monitoring automation software
· 1+ year of developing processes utilizing UiPath software
