We are looking for bright, passionate Product Marketers (various positions available) who can help us to deliver on our vision of making commerce better for everyone. To do that we need to build the right products, that solve the right problems, for the merchants who need them most — and then make sure those merchants know about the products and are able to grow their business using them. You’ll need to have a growth mindset, have deep empathy for merchants and customers, and be excited to roll up your sleeves and dig for the solution to a complex problem.
We have several roles to fill across our Money group. The products/set of problems include:
- Shopify Balance and Rewards
- Shopify Capital
- Shopify Payments and Risk
Develop clear and compelling product narratives and positioning by understanding merchant and partner needs, product roadmap, market trends, and competitive forces.
Define the go to market strategy to enable successful product launches and growth campaigns by working cross functionally with Product Management, UX, Engineering, Marketing, PR, Support, Data and Revenue Operations and Sales.
Create strategies to drive product success through all stages of the merchant adoption funnel from awareness, adoption, through to advocacy
Help influence the products we are building through deep market analysis, competitive research and merchant/partner feedback; collaborate with product teams to optimize product elements that boost user engagement and alleviate product issues and gaps.
Run A/B tests to optimize user messaging strategies and quantitatively test hypotheses pertaining to acquisition and engagement strategies
Identify KPIs, set targets, and analyze the results of product launches and growth efforts against those targets
Communicate effectively and often to ensure that all stakeholders are aligned
Extensive experience in marketing, product marketing, product or a customer consulting role, preferably at a fintech or financial services organization
Extensive experience in customer acquisition, cross and up sell and retention, preferably at a fintech or financial services organization
Experience driving research and data for customer segmentation
Experience using data/analytics to determine and measure the impact of your work
The ability to thrive in uncertainty, resolve ambiguity and think quickly on your feet
Excellent communication and organizational skills while being able to stay focused on the big picture and pay attention to details
Experience marketing B2B and B2B2C SaaS products
Experience helping drive global business, product, and product marketing strategy
A resourceful attitude and positive negotiation skills - you'll be working with a lot of different teams across Shopify and external partners
