Roland Berger is seeking Junior Summer Associates to contribute to the growth of our international platforms and collaborate on strategy projects for the world's leaders in all industries during our 2026 summer internship. Candidate eligibility is open for our Boston, Chicago, Detroit and Philadelphia offices.

Job Description

Junior Summer Associates are exposed to various project types, client teams and functions for the maximum learning experience and professional development. Primary job responsibilities include contributing to the content, design, and presentation of analyses in support of casework. Junior Summer Associates will have frequent interaction with experienced Consultants, Client Senior Executives, and industry experts. Junior Summer Associates also provide support to teams through primary and secondary research, analysis of data, and the preparation of deliverables, such as reports and presentation documents. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Prepares and participates in workshops 

  • Conducts market research 

  • Analyzes data and facts using logical reasoning to present results to Project Manager, project team, and clients 

  • Comprehends content (i.e. written communications, market data) to summarize in a succinct and logical manner 

  • Builds Financial Models 

  • Prepares presentations, effectively framing results and analysis 

  • Conducts interviews with clients 

  • Contributes to Intellectual Capital development, training, and recruiting 

  • Works on one or more project issues, including logistical support for team members 

 

Key Success Factors: 

  • Strong analytical skills, both qualitative and quantitative analysis methods and techniques 

  • Internet and general research skills 

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and database skills) 

  • Ability to efficiently summarize and present data in a usable format 

  • Effective written and oral communication skills for dealing with team members and clients 

  • Good time management skills and ability to prioritize 

  • Ability to work in a team, both large and small, and work effectively across different teams, levels and backgrounds 

  • Strong business acumen 

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with financial statements 

  • Understanding of various industry business models and key dynamics 

  • Understanding of Consulting or Service environment 

  • Junior year of a BA/BS in relevant field, quantitative and analytically oriented fields such as Business, Engineering, Mathematics, Sciences, or Economics are preferred
