MAIN PURPOSE

As Project Manager Sustainability you will be responsible for project coordination in the area of sustainability and implementing the Rituals Sustainability Strategy within the Format & Design department. The Format & Design department is responsible for the design and execution of Retail, Wholesale and Travel locations, as well as Rituals offices worldwide.

The sustainability strategy within Rituals is ambitious and we are looking for a driven individual, experienced and passionate about designs and sustainability, who can assist us in setting up a strategic plan how to achieve the sustainability goals.

To ensure we maintain continuous focus on our sustainability goals we are looking for a new Project Manager Sustainability.

In this role you will:

Contributing to Rituals Net-Zero Goals, help maintain our B Corp status, drive sustainable practices in our store development.

Your main tasks within this role are:

  • Provide guidance on sustainability goals towards Format & Design. You are ‘business savvy’ and help bridge commercial, esthetics and environmental considerations.
  • Collecting documentation and data points from suppliers and related stakeholders for sustainability assessment (example: LCAs).
  • Develop a roadmap to reduce the carbon footprint and increase the circularity principles in our shops.
  • Develop and maintain tools / dashboard to monitor progress (CO2, circularity & responsible sourcing).
  • Integrate improvement practices in processes, policy, responsibilities of the Format & Design team.

As Project Manager Sustainability, you will provide a link between the different teams within the Format & Design department. In this role, you will also work closely with the Rituals’ Sustainability team, that oversees the overall sustainability agenda of Rituals.

YOUR INGREDIENTS

  • You have excellent knowledge of materials and a finesse feeling for design while being conscious of environmental alternatives.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a sustainability consultant, coordinator, or a similar role.
  • Experience in environmental impact assessments is preferred, especially in construction & furniture.
  • Knowledge of GHG accounting in the retail sector or related field.
  • English fluency is required.
  • Ability to deal confidently with colleagues, subcontractors, and external consultants.
  • Able to support data-driven decisions and to structure data.
