Job Description
The Director of Professional Services is responsible for leading the delivery of high-quality consulting and implementation services for clients. This role oversees professional services teams, ensures successful project delivery, drives client satisfaction, and contributes to revenue growth through effective services strategy and execution. The Director partners closely with Sales, Product, Customer Success, and executive leadership to align service delivery with business objectives and client needs.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the Professional Services organization, including consultants, project managers, and implementation specialists.
Oversee the successful delivery of consulting, implementation, and advisory services to clients.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while maintaining high quality standards.
Develop and implement service delivery methodologies, frameworks, and best practices.
Partner with Sales to support pre-sales activities, including solution scoping, statements of work (SOW), and client presentations.
Manage services revenue targets, utilization rates, and profitability metrics.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
Identify opportunities to expand services within existing accounts and support new business development.
Monitor project performance and client satisfaction, addressing risks and resolving escalations as needed.
Recruit, mentor, and develop high-performing professional services teams.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to improve service offerings and client outcomes.
Establish reporting and performance metrics to track operational efficiency and service quality.
Qualifications
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
8–12+ years of experience in professional services, consulting, or technology implementation roles.
3–5+ years of experience managing teams or leading service delivery organizations.
Demonstrated experience delivering complex technology or consulting projects for enterprise clients.
Strong understanding of professional services operations including utilization, margin management, and services revenue forecasting.
Experience partnering with sales teams in pre-sales and solution development.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving, strategic thinking, and decision-making capabilities.
Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches).
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a technology consulting, SaaS, or systems integration environment.
Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or similar).
Experience implementing enterprise software platforms or digital transformation initiatives.
