Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CT Technologist to join our healthcare team in the Chicagoland area. As a CT Technologist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients using state-of-the-art computed tomography equipment.

  • Perform CT scans according to established protocols and physician orders
  • Ensure patient safety by adhering to radiation safety practices and ALARA principles
  • Position patients correctly and provide clear instructions during examinations
  • Operate and maintain CT equipment, reporting any malfunctions promptly
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to optimize image quality
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new CT protocols
  • Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Educate patients about CT procedures and address their concerns

Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology
  • ARRT certification in Computed Tomography (CT)
  • Current state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a CT Technologist
  • Proficiency in operating CT scanning equipment and following established protocols
  • Strong knowledge of radiation safety practices and ALARA principles
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and human anatomy
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact professionally with patients and healthcare team members
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and assist with patient positioning
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with CT technology advancements
