Job Description
1) investigate and implement emerging and innovative software (open source and ready-made third-party applications, middleware and self-service solutions) that meet business demands and cost-effective;
2) piloting new software solutions in collaboration with internal IT specialists and external vendors;
3) assisting the Director in managing the project’s roadmap by effectively prioritizing, estimating time needed to complete initiatives;
4) work with complex projects while making output user friendly to users across the University;
5) troubleshoot and resolve technical problems of implemented emerging and innovative software in timely manner;
6) providing consulting and methodological assistance on the issues within the competence of the Office;
7) assisting the Director and the Chief Information Officer in coordinating and monitoring the implementation of agreements and budget lines within the competence;
8) participation in identification, assessment, management and monitoring of risks within the framework of supervised direction;
9) temporary performs the duties (replaces) of the Director during his/her temporary absence (up to one month);
10) timely and properly executes the tasks of the line manager and the University`s management
Qualifications
Higher-professional, preferable from the higher education institutions with English language of instruction
The minimum degree: Bachelor /Specialist.
Relevant work experience: Three years minimum.
Minimum one year with master`s degree in the relevant area.
Hands-on experience with current and trending software solutions (e.g. Microsoft Power Platform, Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, SAP ERP) (mandatory).
Experience in implementing innovative and cost-effective solutions (including middleware and self-service software) (mandatory).
Experience in conducting research or analysis and project management (preferably)
• knowledge of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of information and education;
• knowledge of international standards in the field of Information Technology (hereinafter - IT);
• deep understanding of automation and emerging technology solutions, and hands-on experience with current and trending software solutions (e.g. Microsoft Power Platform, Amazon Web Services, SAP ERP);
• deep understanding and experience in implementing innovative and cost-effective solutions (including middleware and self-service software);
• demonstrate an innovative approach to problem solving with a willingness to self-learn, researching new technologies, embody a can-do attitude, resilient to various processes and technical challenges, and highly focus on autonomous and timely project completion;
• presentation preparation and conducting skills;
• availability of certificates in IT relevant to the performance of these functions (desirable);
• professional possession of MS Office programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
• proficiency in English, Kazakh, Russian languages
