The Public Service Commission is seeking well qualified applicants for the positions of Permanent Secretary for two Ministries. These are key leadership positions responsible for leading and managing each Ministry including policy support and advice.

Permanent Secretaries are being sought for the following Ministries:

• Ministry of Fisheries and Forestry
• Ministry of Rural and Maritime Development and National Disaster Risk Management

Eligible candidates will have high level academic qualifications and senior executive leadership experience in large and complex organisations in the private or public sector. They will have led major modernisation and change programs setting strategic direction, implementing significant and sustained change, and will have well-developed people leadership capabilities.

Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills, including refined political nous to build strong relationships, foster stakeholder engagement, create new partnerships and drive a culture of excellence and innovation through technology, is essential.

Resilience and drive are critical personal attributes for these leadership roles and relevant academic qualifications are essential.
