The Global Trade and Customs function is a newly formed part of the Supply Chain Collaborative Network at H&M Group. The organization aims at mitigating global trade risks and driving opportunities for optimization along our supply chain through monitoring, advising and influencing on global trade & customs developments. It reinforces our collaborative way of working on trade issues and creates cross-functional synergies. Serving as center of excellence on Trade issues, the function ensures operational and legal compliance as well as understanding of custom formalities.

We are now looking for a Cross-Border Trade Adviser to join our team!

Job Description

As part of the Global Trade and Customs team within the Supply Chain organization your main responsibility will be to steer, facilitate and advice on Cross-Border related topics (for instance Bonded Warehouse, AEO). You will be an important part in setting the strategy, in collaboration with other supply chain functions as well as the tax & transfer pricing function and hold the responsibility for coordinating the requirements and compliance part in cross-border initiatives. Furthermore, you will be initiating and maintaining dialogue with customs authorities where relevant. You will also ensure a smooth transition into the implementation phase and the operations.

As Cross-Border Trade Adviser you will report to the Head of the Global Trade and Customs function who is located in Stockholm, Head Office. You will collaborate intensively cross-functionally.

Your responsibilities will be to:

  • Be the main point of contact for Cross-Border matters
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to set long-term strategy on cross-border initiatives
  • Facilitate work on compliance issues in pre-studies
  • Work proactively towards customs authorities and other external stakeholders in order to keep and/or establish H&M Group as a trusted business partner and speed up custom formalities
  • Ensure smooth transition to implementation and roll out phases through strong collaboration with other Group functions and Business Tech

Qualifications

We believe you have:

  • A solid knowledge on global supply chains processes and Cross-Border initiatives
  • Experience in the field of regulatory compliance
  • Experience in working with customs authorities
  • Experience with internal coordination and/or project management
  • A strategic mindset
  • Excellent English skills both written and verbal.
  • A flexible mindset and like the idea of being part of a new team with possibilities for development and growth

Additional Information

This is a full-time permanent position in our Head Office in Stockholm, but we are open to look at remote work possibilities.
