Job Description

This graduate role could sit within our Business Intelligence, Data Science, or Data Engineering team. As part of your application, you'll complete a short questionnaire to indicate your interests. We'll use this, along with your CV, to discuss internally which roles best match your skillset: you won't be limited to one team based on your initial preference.

Blend’s All-Star Program is a 12-month, full-time programme designed to launch your career in data and AI, with opportunities to develop into roles across Data Science, Data Engineering, and Business Intelligence. You’ll receive hands-on training from Blend’s field experts while working directly on real client projects. 

The programme offers a strong foundation, giving you the chance to develop in areas that align with your strengths and interests, while meeting our business needs. You’ll collaborate with teams across Blend, including Data Engineering, Data Science, Business Intelligence, Data Consulting, Delivery, and Commercial, and learn how end-to-end data and AI projects are designed, delivered, and brought to life. 

Alongside building deep technical skills through structured training and industry certifications, you’ll also develop essential professional skills such as communication, project management, and personal leadership. By the end of the programme, you’ll understand how all teams work together to create meaningful, real-world business impact. 

Start date All-Star program: October 2026!  

A Blend Data All-Star will develop their skills in:  

  • Contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing data products that deliver business value  

  • Working with business leaders to solve unique business challenges using advanced analytical techniques 

  • Implementing models, data structures, and complex business transformations in an enterprise production environment  

  • How to build, test, and evaluate machine learning and AI-driven solutions, including real-world GenAI use cases, and processes for feature selection and engineering 

  • Learning best practices in data management, preparation, and analysis to ensure data is reliable and fit for purpose 

  • Working with and securely deploying cloud-based technologies on platforms such as Azure and AWS 

  • Creating advanced data visualisations, data modelling, and creating dashboards and business applications using software such as Power BI and Streamlit 

  • Writing accompanying documentation with data assets and product deliverables 

Qualifications

These are the qualities we look for in our All-Stars, but you don’t need to tick every technical box to apply: 

  • You have a degree in computer science, mathematical analytics, business with data, or another quantitative/STEM based field or equivalent practical experience in data, analytics, or programming  

  • You have a great learning and teamwork attitude with a desire to gain experience across a wide range of technologies and techniques 

  • You are willing to work at our office in Edinburgh at least 2-3 days a week  

  • (Desirable) You have experience in developing code and/or applications using software such as PySpark, Python, SQL, Java, etc.
