Job Description

Oversee local and remote technical teams to plan, execute, and deliver customer-facing, outsourced engineering and manufacturing projects. Oversee internal (from other Averna sister-sites, including our Quebec and European offices) and external recruiting and build technical teams comprised of Engineers, Project Managers, and Technicians. Accountable for Averna’s Western Region Gross Margin targets. Participate as a primary stakeholder in requirements, risk, and project cost evaluation. Represent Averna as the customer-facing Key Account Executive. Set work objectives and priorities for technical staff, provide work instructions, monitor their progress and performance, ensure goals and timelines are met, and carry out personnel actions, such as hiring, firing, time off, raises, and promotions. Job can be performed from anywhere in the U.S. Travel domestically and internationally up to 50% of the time depending on the project.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or the foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering, plus 7 years of experience in a Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Test Engineering occupation. The 7 years of experience in a Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Test Engineering occupation must include:

  • 7 years of experience in Project or Program Management;
  • 7 years of experience in manufacturing, contract manufacturing, or a related field;
  • 5 years of experience with People Management (combination of direct and indirect management);
  • 5 years of experience, collaborating, and coordinating activities between high technology professionals in engineering and manufacturing;
  • 5 years of experience providing customer-facing engineering services in sales;
  • 5 years of experience in account management within the high-tech and manufacturing industries; 
  • Demonstrated knowledge in the integration of test platforms and industrial automation; and contract manufacturing companies and business models.
  • Job can be performed anywhere in the U.S.
  • Professional proficiency or Native French language required.

Work location:  1515 Center Park Dr., Charlotte, NC 28217. Job can be performed anywhere in the U.S. Domestic and international travel required up to 50% of the time depending on the project.
