Job Description

DUTIES:

Functionally Lead geographically distributed multidisciplinary technical projects and manage execution teams. Those teams can be composed of Software Developers, Electrical Designers, PCB Designers, Automation, Mechanical Designers, Vision Engineers and SMEs (subject matter experts). Work closely with key customers to understand, define and gather system requirements, create and evaluate new proposals and SOW for technical solutions to meet customer needs. Develop project execution schedules, risk management and resource planning. Oversee all aspects of project execution from inception to delivery, (i.e., architecture definition and task breakdown, preliminary and detailed design activities, key component selection, support logistics and procurement). Assist the team and support assembly, integration, troubleshooting, verification and validation. Responsible for the creation and delivery of documentation for various types of industries and regulations, (i.e., including system requirement specifications, test requirement specifications, system architecture and design artifact packages, etc.). Work closely with different business units of the organization to improve quality, efficiency, best practices as well as to coordinate engineering activities. Lead initiative within the local business unit to redefine core activities to create more value and leverage resource centers. Job can be performed from anywhere in the U.S. Domestic and international travel required up to 30% of the time for 2-to-4-week periods. Professional proficiency or native fluency in French. 

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree or the foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field, plus 5 years of progressively responsible experience in an electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or a computer science occupation. The required experience must include the following: 

TEST SYSTEM LEVEL: 

  • (5) years of experience in Software or Hardware design and experience in Test System Architecture. 

  • (5) years of experience with system-level architecture, system-level design and electrical design. Defining testing strategies, test coverage and architecture of automated test solutions. 

  • (5) years of experience with various hardware platforms, tools, testing equipment, communication protocols. 

  • (5) years of experience driving project schedule with program managers. 

SOFTWARE 

  • (5) years of experience in system troubleshooting, integration, and software development. 

  • (5) years of experience working with software development with LabVIEW and/or TestStand (CLA and/or CLD). 

  • (5) years of experience working with object-oriented programming architecture and design principles. 

  • (5) years of experience working with python and/or C#. 

HARDWARE 

  • (5) years of experience working with electronic circuits, system design, building prototypes, boards bring-up, debugging and using tools - oscilloscope, logic analyzer, and in-circuit emulator. 

  • (5) years of experience in machine vision, and automation robotics and PLC programming. 

  • (5) years of experience working with standard instrumentation used in the test industry (DMM, Switch, IO, Oscilloscope, PXI Platform.) 

  • (5) years of experience with the production of project and technical documentation

Job can be performed from anywhere in the U.S. Domestic and international travel required up to 30% of the time for 2-to-4-week periods. Professional proficiency or native fluency in French.
