This role offers an opportunity to shape and expand Amref’s One Health portfolio, strengthening health security efforts across Africa.

In this role, you will focus on:

• Strategic Leadership & Growth: Guide Amref’s One Health strategy, align it with regional and global priorities, and build partnerships with key stakeholders, including donors, governments, and research institutions.
• Program Management & Implementation: Oversee the execution of One Health initiatives, focusing on diagnostics, emergency preparedness, and infectious disease surveillance.
• Personnel & Financial Oversight: Manage project teams, ensure compliance with donor regulations, and oversee financial and operational performance.
• Research & Advocacy: Lead knowledge-sharing, contribute to scientific research, and represent Amref in global and regional forums.

• Advanced degree in Public Health, Clinical Medicine, Medical Laboratory Sciences, or a related field.
• At least eight (08) years of experience in One Health, health security, or laboratory programs.
• Strong strategic thinking, program management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience in business development and resource mobilization.
• Fluency in English; French is an added advantage.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
