Job Description
Summary
AmaliTech is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Facility Assistant to support our office facilities' daily operations and maintenance. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Facility Manager to ensure our spaces are safe, functional, and well-maintained, contributing to a productive and comfortable environment for all employees.
Responsibilities
- Assist in scheduling and coordinating routine maintenance and emergency repairs.
- Inspect facilities regularly to identify issues such as damaged equipment or safety hazards.
- Liaise with service providers (e.g., cleaning, security, and maintenance teams) to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Track and manage inventory of facility-related supplies, furniture, and equipment.
- Coordinate the procurement of necessary items in collaboration with the Facility Manager.
- Support the monitoring of utilities to prevent delays in payments or interruptions.
- Assist in implementing energy-saving initiatives across facilities.
- Maintain seating plans and assist in coordinating workspace changes or reconfigurations.
- Support the execution of fire, safety, and first aid training programs.
- Ensure facilities comply with safety regulations and report incidents promptly.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance schedules, vendor contracts, and asset inventories.
- Assist in preparing reports and updates on facility operations.
Office Location
The applicant will work from the Accra Office during the National Service Programme.
Qualifications
- HND or BSC in Facility Management, Building Technology, Engineering or a related field.
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of basic maintenance and safety protocols is an advantage.
- Attention to detail and proactive problem-solving.
- Knowledge of Sign language is an added advantage.
