Golf Services - Spring/Summer 2026, Student Work Experience Program

As a Golf Services colleague with Fairmont Chateau Whistler, you will be an ambassador for our on-site championship golf course and the exceptional service that our colleagues offer from check-in to the course and the retail store. Your warm, personal attention provides a memorable experience for guests of our golf course, making them feel welcome and valued.

Available Roles and Pay Rates Include:

All positions are full-time, seasonal positions, beginning in April 2026, and ending in October 2026.

We recognize tenure through our compensation - hourly rates increase after 6 months and then yearly to three years. 

• Golf Maintenance/Turf Care: Starting Rate $20.75; Three Year rate $26.60
• Player Services: Starting Rate $18.10; Three Year rate $21.20
• Retail Associate: Starting Rate $21.60; Three Year rate $24.95
• Golf Supervisor: Starting Rate $22.95; Three Year rate $27.10

Golf Maintenance/Turf Care:

• Maintain the course, including sand traps, cart paths, fairways, greens, rough, and tees
• General landscaping
• Ensure the equipment and general work area is maintained to company standards

Golf Player Services:

• Assist guests upon arrival to golf course, by providing a warm greeting and assisting with golf luggage
• Prepare, organize and clean golf cart fleet
• Provide starter services
• Ensure daily upkeep of practice facility
• Provide guest shuttles to and from hotel and/or practice facility

Golf Retail Associate:

• Assist guests in an informative and helpful way
• Maximize retail profits through effective sales techniques, expert product knowledge and inventory controls
• Coordinate golf course registration
• Ensure the Golf Shop is professionally merchandised at all times
• Assist the Event & Tournament Coordinator in the execution of golf events
• Ensure seamless guest movement from the shuttle arrival through the Golf Shop to the cart staging area

Golf Supervisor:

• Assist with training, coaching and supervising Golf Services Professionals, Golf Retail Associates and other golf course team members
• Ensure all standards are being met by Golf Services team
• Accountable for inventory of guest supplies and golf cart fleet
• Assist guests upon arrival to golf course, by providing a warm greeting and assisting with golf luggage
• Prepare, organize and clean golf cart fleet
• Ensure daily upkeep of practice facility
• Provide guest shuttles to and from hotel and/or practice facility

• Enrolled in a Golf Management, Turf Care, or Hospitality course
• Previous golf course experience
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License with a clean record is required
