Job Description

Our client has an online account management software solution, a SaaS product, offering data analytics over sales data to key account managers of different retail suppliers. Also facilitating trade promotion creation and planning.

The app is used by the key account manager/sales manager of different retails for doing their product promotion forecasting. It is split into two parts: one is a web application and the second being a data warehouse used for analytical purposes. Sales data is presented in the web application via a set of predefined reports.

Development is done in sprints, mostly support items and new features enriching some parts of forecasting modules.

Role description: In this role, you will work as a senior, hands-on engineer with strong ownership over solutions, contributing not only through coding but also through technical decision-making, business understanding, and continuous improvement of existing systems.

Your team

Friendly/supporting small team consisting of 8 members.

Daily responsibilities

  • Maintain ETL processes (MSSQL Server, SSIS packages)
  • Develop solution features following development best practices and bug fixing for our web app
  • Actively participate to SCRUM ceremonies (DSM, Sprint planning, etc.)
  • Raise technical risks and improvements

Project Stack

  • Development: ExtJS, JavaScript ECMAScript 5, ASP.NET MVC, C#, Entity Framework, MS SQL Server 2014, HTML, CSS, T-SQL
  • Data Warehouse (SSAS, SSIS, SSRS, OLAP DB, Power BI, DAX, MDX)
  • Hosting (Windows Server 2012, Azure Cloud)

Qualifications

  • 5 year+ hands on experience with .Net framework (C# and libraries)
  • Experience with one or more of the following: JavaScript, MS SQL Server / T-SQL
  • Experience with code versioning tools (Git or similar)
  • Strong understanding of clean code practices and SOLID principles
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
  • Strong experience with a cloud platform (Azure preferred, but AWS or GCP are also acceptable)
  • Demonstrated end-to-end ownership of solutions, from requirements through production and follow-up
  • Ability to understand business and data context and reason about impact and trade-offs, not just implement technical tasks
  • Comfortable contributing to technical discussions, asking the right questions, and collaborating effectively with non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong English communication skills

Nice to have

  • Windows Server administration (network, storage, AD)
