The area: Device Services

The Device Services Team at nfrastructure streamlines processes and increases efficiencies by automating device lifecycle management to field services. The Deployment Team works together to provide control and structure to the site survey process which helps our customers mitigate risk and maximize their return on investment.

The role: Project Engineer

As a Project Engineer, you will provide deployment services for all Apple hardware at customer sites. This will include hardware and software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting support for the overall infrastructure environment. You will complete proper inventory and asset recording processes prior to and during delivery and complete appropriate paperwork as required for customer acceptance.  You will travel to customer locations, so a flexible work schedule is a must.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshooting of issues
• Facilitate engineering escalations, and following-up against the customer’s extended AppleCare agreement (if in place) as necessary.
• Participate in regularly scheduled customer meetings and conference calls to review issues.
• Provide status updates on current initiatives, and outstanding escalations.
• Assist in the deployments of Apple hardware, Mac OS X, Mac OS X Server, Apple iOS at district sites.
• Work with district personnel to document customer processes/workflows.
• Meet time dependent deployment project deadlines onsite.
• Lead team onsite, escalate issues with Apple staff, and ensure customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent Associate’s Degree preferred
• 3  years of experience with deployment, configuration projects working with Apple products
• Experience with OS X El Capitan and OS X Server for El Capitan Deployment 
• Experience with Apple Deployment Programs 
• Experience with Caching Server 
• Experience with Apple Configurator 
• Apple Certified Technical Coordinator (ACTC)
• Ability to perform installation and final configuration tasks on customer premise
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Valid Driver’s license
• Candidates must possess the ability and willingness to travel, which will include working off-hours, weekends and staying overnight with prior notification
