Job Description

The Learning Experience Designer III owns the design, development, and ongoing improvement of digital learning that helps Bluebeam customers complete real tasks. They create courses and reusable learning resources for a global architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) audience.

This role thinks beyond the LMS. They structure content for use across Bluebeam University, in-product experiences, community, and other customer channels. They use approved AI tools, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) connections to improve content creation, maintenance, and delivery.

They manage projects with minimal oversight, use customer insights and data to guide decisions, and remain accountable for accuracy, accessibility, and instructional quality. They partner with technical teams on integrations, authentication, security, and infrastructure

  • Investigates customer needs. Uses customer insights, product workflows, feedback, and data to define the problem and desired outcomes. Recommends the right response, including when to improve existing resources rather than create new content.
  • Designs practical learning. Applies instructional design, adult learning, and user experience principles to create task-based instruction, practice, and assessments. Designs for both structured courses and standalone learning needs.
  • Develops reusable content. Uses approved tools to create courses, simulations, videos, written resources, and certification-related content. Applies content structure, metadata, and versioning standards to support reuse, localization, and maintenance.
  • Designs for delivery beyond the LMS. Applies headless learning principles and works with technical partners to define content delivery, learner access, tracking, and reporting requirements. Tests implemented experiences against learning objectives and acceptance criteria.
  • Uses AI and MCP-connected workflows responsibly. Develops and applies repeatable workflows for content analysis, creation, revision, and other appropriate tasks. Validates outputs, includes necessary review and approval steps, and follows company access and data-handling requirements.
  • Manages projects independently. Plans work, coordinates contributors and reviews, maintains documentation, and communicates progress. Raises scope, capacity, and technical risks early and recommends realistic options.
  • Maintains content quality. Validates product accuracy with subject matter experts and tests accessibility, functionality, and the learner experience. Recommends updates, consolidation, or retirement as products and customer needs change.
  • Measures and improves results. Defines success measures, reviews available evidence, and recommends improvements to learning and workflows. Shares findings and effective practices with cross-functional partners and the team.

Qualifications

  • Five or more years of relevant experience in learning experience design, instructional design, digital customer education, or a related field, including:

  • Ability to structure modular content using metadata, tagging, and reusable components and prepare content for localization and delivery across channels.
  • Proficiency using Parta or a comparable modular authoring platform, digital learning development tools, and learning management systems.
  • Understanding of headless LMS concepts and API-enabled delivery, with the ability to translate learning needs into technical requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Ability to use AI and MCP-connected tools in repeatable workflows, evaluate outputs, and recognize when human approval or technical support is required.
  • Ability to apply accessibility and user experience principles and troubleshoot common content and publishing issues.
  • Ability to interpret learning data and feedback, distinguish engagement from learning effectiveness, and turn findings into improvements.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and dependencies with minimal oversight and communicate decisions, tradeoffs, and risks clearly.
  • Ability to build productive partnerships, seek different perspectives, and give and receive constructive feedback.
  • Equivalent platform experience is acceptable. The successful candidate must be able to transfer those skills to the team’s approved toolset.
