Job Description

We are looking for a high-performing finance professional to help shape the finance experience at NBCU for years to come. The person in the role will be a part of the team leading change in financial processes, systems, and presentation across the finance organization. For this reason, this person needs to be a high performer in the finance space with solid business acumen, while also system and data savvy, and have a talent for visual and process design. This role is part of our Corporate HQ team, supporting total company consolidation with visibility to senior leadership (including NBCUniversal CFO and EVP of FP&A), and will also work with finance teams across the company – a great opportunity to learn about a variety of businesses (TV/Streaming, Studios, Parks) as well as a variety of areas of finance (operational vs FP&A, revenue vs cost, business unit vs consolidation).

NBCU finance is going through a multi-year transformation to new systems, and in doing so we are also redesigning many of our processes. One of our initiatives is to transition FP&A and operational planning onto SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC). SAC combines the capabilities of modern data analytics (think Power BI or Tableau) with driver-based planning and consolidation. The person in this role will collaborate with finance teams and IT to design and develop new SAC planning and analytic solutions. In addition to SAC projects, more broadly, this role will help to enhance the finance organization through other means (for example: process design, report/dashboard creation, developing AI use cases, system/solution training & admin, etc.).

Note: a candidate’s experience level will determine the seniority and compensation of this role (Manager vs Senior Manager) and therefore also performance expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with various teams to design and build SAC planning & analytics solutions
  • Design & build SAC models & dashboards for Corporate FP&A and other teams across the company
  • Lead SAC trainings and dashboard building workshops (this will come later after sufficient time to become familiar with the tool)
  • Own continuous FP&A and operational finance process improvement, including seeking and adopting new features/technologies as they become available
  • Potential to manage Corporate FP&A system instance as business user administrator
  • Other responsibilities and projects as needed – we are change leaders in a changing organization and company, so we maintain flexibility as priorities shift

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or other relevant area and a minimum of 3 years of experience in FP&A, operational finance, or related roles
  • Experience in the media industry is a plus but not required
  • Strong business acumen, with understanding of finance/FP&A methodologies, processes, and systems
  • Exceptional ability to visually represent financial insights in a clear and informative way
  • Experience using data analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau, SAC, Anaplan, or similar)
  • Skills that will enable success in this role:
    • Strong business acumen
    • Problem solving/process design
    • Visual design (reports & dashboards)
    • Data & finance/analytics systems savviness
    • Collaboration & project management
