Job Description

Here you can:

  • Serve as Legal's business and product owner for legal technology, leading discovery and user-readiness assessment across Legal practice groups, facilitating working sessions and focus groups to understand workflows, user needs, pain points, and adoption barriers, and translating findings into technology priorities, user requirements, and recommendations to the SVP.
  • Serve as Legal's primary technical point of contact for Data & Legal Solutions, leading Legal's requirements, user acceptance testing, release readiness, and operational acceptance for AI and legal technology solutions, and contributing workflow, user-readiness, and adoption perspectives to use-case prioritization and scale recommendations.
  • Lead discovery, piloting, evaluation, and integration of AI capabilities for Legal, including AI features within document management, Microsoft 365 Copilot, and connections between AI tools and Legal's content, in partnership with AI governance and Data & Legal Solutions.
  • Define and oversee Legal's requirements for access, permissions, ethical walls, and confidentiality and privilege protections across the technology Legal uses, in partnership with AI governance, Privacy and Cyber.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operation and administration of the legal technology currently supporting NBCU Legal, including document management, contract lifecycle management, and connected legal applications, along with their taxonomy, metadata, and workspace design.
  • Lead user adoption, change management, and tool-specific training for legal technology and AI capabilities this role oversees, including quick-reference guidance and product demonstrations of legal technology at learning forums.
  • Manage day-to-day operational relationships with legal technology vendors, including product roadmaps, service performance, support escalations, utilization, and licensing requirements; provide usage and roadmap input into renewal, commercial, and investment decisions led by the appropriate authorized owners, including the SVP, Procurement, and Finance.
  • Provide clear, data-informed updates on legal technology health, program delivery, adoption, risks, dependencies, and tradeoffs.

Qualifications

Here you'll need:

  • 8+ years of experience in legal technology, legal systems, legal operations, AI or technology enablement, change management, program management, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience independently leading complex, high-visibility cross-functional programs from discovery through implementation, adoption, measurement, and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and administering enterprise legal technology, including workspace structure, taxonomy, metadata, and security and permissions models, in partnership with engineering teams.
  • Experience leading user adoption and change management for legal technology rollouts, including communications, training, and product demonstrations.
  • Experience working directly with attorneys and legal professionals in a corporate legal department, law firm, legal-services organization, or comparable environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate technology and program status, risks, tradeoffs, and recommendations clearly and credibly to senior stakeholders.

What we'll look for:

  • Hands-on experience deploying or administering AI features in legal platforms, such as Microsoft 365 Copilot, AI within document management, and legal AI assistants; ability to understand capabilities and limitations and partner effectively with technical teams.
  • Experience with platforms such as Harvey, Power Automate, Power Apps, Copilot Studio, ServiceNow, Jira, or comparable tools.
  • Strong facilitation skills and experience leading working sessions, focus groups, or requirements-gathering sessions with attorneys and senior professionals.
