Job Description

Role Purpose:

The Manager of Finance is responsible for managing financial planning and forecasting for an innovative new initiative at NBCUniversal. This is a newly created role is an exciting opportunity that will play a foundational part in building and scaling a dedicated finance function to support the initiative’s growth. This role will have significant interaction with department heads, particularly through the forecast, budget, and estimate cycles.  In addition, the Manager will participate in/coordinate ad hoc projects as requested.

Here you can:

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning for an innovative new initiative at NBCUniversal.
  • Act as a key finance partner to leadership, working closely with them to provide guidance on financial implications of decisions and maintain accurate forecasts
  • Develop financial models to support strategic decision-making and scenario analysis
  • Headcount tracking and analysis for operational teams
  • Monitor financial performance, identify variances, and provide actionable insights  
  • Create management reports and presentations on a routine and ad hoc basis
  • Present financial results and recommendations to senior leadership
  • Own vendor set up and maintenance process for the initiative
  • Continually review financial processes to improve overall efficiency and accuracy and drive effective financial forecasting
  • Participate in other ad hoc projects

Qualifications

Here you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 5+ years of experience in Finance and Accounting
  • Highly skilled in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Travel to Canada required

What we'll look for:

  • SAP BW/BPC experience preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the proven ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize and encapsulate complex data and information in order to build financial models and presentations to senior leadership
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work assignments and work well under pressure
  • Must be accurate, highly organized with great attention to detail
  • Proactive approach to problem solving including analytical and information system skills
  • Solid work ethic and follow through
  • Willingness to improve processes and improve efficiencies

This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.
