Job Description
The Chief Client Office (CCO) department is dedicated to enhancing CIB business lines' commercial development. We leverage data for deep client understanding, drive franchises performance with key KPIs and recommend strategic growth initiatives. We are establishing a pivotal role within the CCO in Porto to animate our Financial Sponsors Group (FSG) franchise, with a crucial liaison to our US Coverage teams.
Join us as an Financial Sponsors Group - Client Strategy Management Officer and take the helm in executing our FSG client strategy.
Main Responsibilities:
- Support FSG Business Reviews: Spearhead the preparation and animation of the annual FSG coverage business review, delivering comprehensive analysis and actionable insights.
- Manage Critical Data: Ensure accurate and timely updates of FSG client data, with a focus on fund structures and personnel changes.
- Performance & Analytics: Regularly produce, analyze, and present strategic KPIs and performance dashboards for the FSG franchise.
- Actionable Strategic Insights: Conduct deep-dive analyses of FSG portfolios (profitability, NBI, RWA, penetration, market share) and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders.
Your Impact:
- Performance Monitoring & Improvement for FSG:
- Design and implement robust performance monitoring systems for FSG (dashboards, KPIs, reviews).
- Define and track key performance indicators essential for the FSG franchise's success.
- Collaborate with business lines/Coverage to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, proposing proactive corrective actions.
- Prepare and actively contribute to FSG commercial committees and performance reviews.
- Oversee the follow-up on decisions and action plans.
- Data, Innovation & Process Enhancement for FSG:
- Contribute to FSG data quality control and governance initiatives.
- Support the development and implementation of AI/data analytics use cases for FSG (e.g., investment trends, deal sourcing optimization).
- Promote data visualization tools to make complex insights easily accessible.
- Propose innovative analytical approaches and tools to drive FSG development.
- Identify and industrialize manual/repetitive tasks through technological solutions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver impactful enhancements.
Qualifications
- Education: Master’s degree (Business School, Engineering, or University).
- Experience: A proven track record in Investment Banking, with a strong background in CIB Coverage, FSG, Private Equity (PE), Strategy, Business Management, or Client Analytics.
- Analytical Prowess: Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with a solid understanding of CIB/FSG KPIs (NBI, RWA, RoRWA, pipeline, penetration, cross-selling).
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the FSG ecosystem and Private Equity funds.
- Product Familiarity: Experience with CIB products, Global Markets and Trade Finance.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Power BI or similar BI tools is a significant plus.
- Languages: English fluency (written and spoken) is required. Knowledge of French (written and spoken) is a strong plus.
