Job Description
Team presentation and main goal:
We are looking for an experienced professional with financial markets knowledge, who has worked with financial products and has knowledge in trading activity.
This role is part of the Surveillance team, within the Natixis Corporate Investment Bank (CIB) Compliance team. This professional will be responsible to manage a team of 12 analysts for Trade Surveillance.
Main tasks and goals:
- Manage all aspects of the Trade Surveillance
- Working with Technology and Third-Party Vendors to finetune the scenarios from which and Trade alerts are derived, troubleshooting any issues, and moving towards achieving goals
- Establishing and maintaining written procedures and governance processes around the Trade Surveillance
- Driving the enhancement and improvement of the programs from both an effectiveness and efficiency perspective
- Working with line of business supervisors, first line of defense employee, and compliance managers
- Conducting deep dive Investigations of potential issues when necessary
- Keeping up-to-date with regulatory changes, internal policy updates, and disciplinary actions to determine that the monitoring system incorporates up-to-date search techniques, rules, lexicons and other attributes
- Planning enhancements both internally and with Third-Party Vendors to incorporate other statistical methods, machine learning, and artificial intelligence in the monitoring tool
- Preparing metrics to report monitoring results to senior management, including identifying potential trends or themes that may warrant further consideration or action.
Qualifications
- Degree in Economics, Finance, Management (or a relevant area)
- +3 years experience in Management
- Advanced knowledge in Surveillance; Compliance and Financial Market
- CFA is a plus
- Fluent English is mandatory
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Bloomberg and Refinitiv is a plus
- Team player and ability to work collaboratively
- Ability to establish and maintain strong relationship across multiple departments
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and escalate issues appropriately
- Analytical and Organizational skills
