Our Client is an oil and gas drilling services company providing onshore and offshore drilling, well construction, rig operations, and related support services to the energy industry. The Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of personnel, equipment, documents, and materials while maintaining assigned vehicles in good operating condition and complying with company driving and HSE requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely transport employees, visitors, equipment, and materials as authorized.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain accurate vehicle logbooks and trip records.
• Ensure vehicles are clean, serviced, and roadworthy.
• Observe all traffic laws and company driving procedures.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, and incidents immediately.
• Assist with loading and securing materials where required.
• Plan routes and ensure timely transportation.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when transporting personnel.
• Monitor vehicle fuel, servicing, and maintenance requirements.
• Participate in defensive driving and HSE training.
• Ensure proper use of seat belts and other vehicle safety systems.
• Support emergency transportation requirements when assigned.

• Minimum of Secondary School Certificate/SSCE or equivalent.
• Valid Nigerian Driver's Licence appropriate for the vehicle category.
• Minimum of 3 years professional driving experience.
• Previous experience in oil & gas, marine, logistics, or offshore support operations is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of local roads and safe driving practices.
• Defensive driving training/certification is an advantage.
• Valid medical fitness certificate where required.
• Offshore safety certification such as BOSIET may be required for drivers working offshore or travelling to offshore facilities.
