Job Description
Software Engineer specializing in data engineering, backend development, and system integration. You will work with cutting-edge database technologies (SQL, NoSQL) to build scalable data pipelines, optimize systems, and ensure efficient data flow across platforms like .NET and Java. The ideal candidate will lead data architecture initiatives, enhance backend services, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver top-tier solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines, integrating large datasets from multiple sources into efficient storage solutions.
- Design and optimize relational and non-relational databases for high performance, scalability, and data governance.
- Work closely with teams to define data architecture and ensure seamless system integration.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and ensure data integrity and availability across databases.
- Automate CI/CD processes for database updates and migrations, contributing to a streamlined development workflow.
- Actively participate in agile (SCRUM) teams to deliver high-quality software.
- Stay updated with emerging data technologies and leverage them to improve overall system performance
Qualifications
• Fluent in English
• Experience building and optimizing data pipelines using tools like Apache Airflow, AWS Glue, and dbt to load and transform data into
data warehouses.
• Data Warehouse Systems: Proficient in working with Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, Snowflake, or Azure Synapse to store, manage, and retrieve large datasets efficiently.
• Experience in data engineering, backend development, and database management experience with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, or Databricks.
• Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, specifically using their managed data warehouse services (e.g., Redshift, BigQuery, Azure Synapse).
• Proficiency in SQL (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra) databases.
• Knowledge of distributed systems, real-time data streaming (e.g., Kafka), and data governance principles.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for database automation, testing, and deployment.
• Strong skills in data modeling, performance tuning, and data lifecycle management.
• Proficiency with Git/GitHub for version control.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
Preferred Skills:
- 6+ years of Data Engineering
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and analytics platforms.
- Understanding of machine learning pipelines and AI-driven data processing workflows.
- Experience with backend development using .NET and Java, integrating data systems into enterprise software solutions.
