The Embedded Analytics Practice, part of MicroStrategy Professional Services, consists of a team of experienced professionals that give structure to the way the company approaches services opportunities regarding the Embedded Analytics product. This team is in charge of estimating, scoping, managing, and delivering Embedded Analytics engagements. It also provides advisory services and technical oversight and gives feedback to designs approaches and effort estimations. MicroStrategy Consultants empower customers to make more informed decisions by providing timely, relevant, and accurate answers to their business questions. To achieve this mission, Consultants work to understand business needs and technical requirements, and design and implement high value solutions in the MicroStrategy platform and in the Embedded Analytics domain. The Role: The Associate Consultant position is an entry level position focusing on the rapid acquisition and application of new knowledge through a variety of customer project assignments. Associate Consultants may work on basic SDK projects with support from senior colleagues and will be responsible for developing, deliver the solution and create documentation according to guidelines.
Your Focus:
Develops technical competence of MicroStrategy products with a focus on implementation
Develops an understanding of the project life cycle and begins to develop associated customer skills
Delivers billable consulting services. Efforts may be directed toward various MicroStrategy and/or supporting products and services
Ensures a solid understanding of business objectives associated with projects and/or programs to which he or she is assigned
Leverages MicroStrategy best practices for service delivery Develops customer relationship and expectation management skills by independently working with customers Communicates effectively with team members both internally and with customers
Follows methodology for well-defined work Observes and understands the dynamics of influence, internally and externally with customers Supports the team taking ideas from concept through full deployment
Qualifications
Bachelors or equivalent degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field
Up to 1 year of related experience Commitment to personal and professional growth
Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and business requirements
Effective oral and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively independently as well as in a team environment
Staffing to local projects wherever possible, however field consultants can expect periods and assignments of up to 50% travel
Proven knowledge of programming and design in building applications.
Knowledge in Java, J2EE, JavaScript, HTML5, REST is a must
Knowledge of the following is desired: JavaScript Frameworks (D3, ReactJS, JQuery, Angular, Knockout, etc.), Java Frameworks (Spring, Hibernate, etc.)
Knowledge of the following is a plus: Mobile development platforms (iOS, Android), .NET (C#, ASP), SSO (SAML2.0, OAuth, OpenID, JWT, etc.), Security (PKI, Digital Signatures, HTTPS, SSL with client certificates)
Hands on experience with the MicroStrategy SDKs is a plus
