METRO opened its first cash & carry wholesale center in Pakistan in 2007 & expanded to 5 wholesale centers in a short span of 18 months. In July 2012 METRO and Makro-Habib combined their wholesale business in Pakistan marking the beginning of a long-term partnership to the mutual benefit of both companies. The merger allowed METRO and Makro-Habib to combine resources and gain the financial strength to lead and grow in a challenging environment and to gain synergies targeted to generate value for our customers and suppliers alike. Today the company is operating 10 wholesale centers in Lahore, Karachi, Multan, Islamabad & Faisalabad.

• Manage and organize deliveries to customers/clients in the right quantity and according to the required specifications.
• Count, sort, or weigh incoming goods to verify receipts against delivery notices.
• Be thoroughly informed about orders and stock availability, and ensure hands-on, timely, and efficient deliveries along with smooth customer service.
• Ensure smooth coordination and maintain good relationships with Operations, Store Management, Head Office, Buyers, Field Sales, and the Delivery Team, as required.
• Verify daily fuel costs and transactions and ensure proper documentation related to them.
• Maintain the Cash Ledger.
• Keep track of inventory and conduct regular physical counts and cross-checks to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Acquire customer feedback on a periodic basis.
• Coordinate with Head Office regarding fuel expenses, KPIs, fixed costs, third-party vehicle expenses, etc.
