Job Description

As we continue to evolve our client portfolio and expand, MET Energia Italia is now looking for a talented Reporting & Data Automation Specialist, who will be contributing to the growth of the company in the Italian market. In this role, you will be responsible for the evolution of the company’s reporting systems, with the goal of increasing their quality, reliability, and level of automation, while reducing manual activities and improving the integration of data coming from multiple sources. You will combine strong Excel skills, IT capabilities, and process vision, acting as a bridge between Finance, Controlling, Credit Management, and technical/IT infrastructures.

Step by step you will take on several activities bringing your invaluable contribution to our daily operations:

  • Automate data collection and consolidation processes (e.g., from ERP, management systems, external sources)
  • Design, develop, and maintain structured and automated reporting systems based on databases and integrated data flows (data extraction, normalization, aggregation), transforming manual reports into advanced, dynamic, scalable models for: economic–financial analyses, performance KPIs, margin analysis and cost controlling
  • Improve data quality (accuracy, consistency, traceability, reconciliations)
  • Develop dashboards and periodic reports for Management and for the operational functions of the AFC and Credit Management areas
  • Support internal and external audits
  • Collaborate with IT and external providers to integrate systems and optimize data sources, while maintaining finance ownership of the figures
  • Supporting the launch of new ideas and projects to grow the business
  • Be active and ready to take on new challenges in other areas of MET should this become your desire

Qualifications

  • BSc or MSc in Statistics or Economics, with a strong academic track record
  • 5 years of relevant experience in similar roles
  • Familiarity with financial reporting and management control (budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis)
  • Ability to read and interpret the Income Statement and Balance Sheet
  • Data integration from ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Navision, Business Central) and management systems
  • Hands-on experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI) and CRM/Salesforce platforms, will be considered a plus
  • Sharp analytical and data‑driven mindset with a strong financial and business partnering acumen
  • Strong attention to accuracy, combined with autonomy, reliability, and a high sense of confidentiality
  • Proven capacity to work effectively under recurring deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
  • Fluent in Italian with a strong command of English
  • Proficient in MS Office, with advanced Excel skills for analysis and reporting
