Could you be our Oracle System Analyst?

A 12 month contract position has become available for an Oracle Systems Analyst to join the McDonald’s Technology team. The Oracle Systems Analyst plays a key role in the day to day technical management of the Oracle payroll system to support the payroll team and its integration with other systems. A key element of this role involves working closely with functional business units to ensure the technical/integration aspects of the Oracle Payroll application are, and continue to be, fit for purpose.

This position calls for a passionate individual who has strong technical knowledge of fundamental concepts of the Oracle Payroll system. As an individual you must enjoy working in a collaborative and fast-paced team environment, whilst meeting goals and targets to deliver upon business objectives.

What are the key responsibilities?

  • Manage and support the technical/integration aspects of the Oracle Payroll solution and services
  • Gather and document, business and technical requirements by conducting meetings, interviews and analysis.
  • Coordinate the provision of outsourced resources for Oracle support and development.
  • Ensure the Oracle solution meets and maintains compliancy to IT security policies, privacy and compliance standards.
  • Work closely in McDonald’s applications lifecycle including requirements, planning, innovation, quality assurance testing, user acceptance testing, deployment, sustainability and vendor management.
  • Implement and manage structured change control processes for technical/integration related changes of the Oracle Payroll solution.
  • Ensure portfolio of Technology Solutions documentation and knowledgebase is current.
  • Identify Oracle system and process changes that improve solution reliability and effectiveness.
  • Follow-up on all Oracle System health checks as required, to ensure robust and reliable IT services, and action tasks where required.

What are the keys to success?

  • Tertiary qualification in Computer Science or other quantitative discipline. Alternatively, significant level of relevant industry experience.
  • 4-10 years industry experience in applications and/or database support.
  • Strong working knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Technical knowledge of fundamental concepts of Oracle Payroll.
  • Knowledge of business process change management.
  • Strong problem solving, analysis and testing skills.
  • Advanced level of experience of MS Office products.
  • Working exposure and strong understanding of project management principles.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Proactive in own self-development
  • Curious and resilient, not afraid to ask questions

Desirable

  • Experience in restaurant
  • Exposure to an FMCG or QSR
