Job Description

The Opportunity: 

Contribute to the growth of Mattel's Consumer Products business across China & Export Markets by supporting the execution of licensing plans and the day-to-day coordination of an assigned portfolio of licensing partners operating under the regional agency model. Working closely with licensing agencies, internal stakeholders and external partners, this role helps deliver commercial objectives through effective portfolio coordination, product development, retail execution and partner support. The role is responsible for maintaining strong working relationships with agencies and licensees, coordinating operational activities across the licensing lifecycle, maintaining accurate commercial information, and providing operational and administrative support to the broader China & Export Markets CP team.

 

What Your Impact Will Be: 

  • Support the execution of licensing plans across an assigned portfolio of licensing partners within China & Export Markets.
  • Coordinate activities across the licensing lifecycle, including product development, approvals, product launches and ongoing partner support.
  • Coordinate product development activities to ensure licensed products meet Mattel brand standards, consumer needs and commercial objectives.
  • Build effective working relationships with assigned licensing agencies and licensees, supporting the day-to-day management of partner accounts.
  • Prepare sales, royalty and portfolio reporting to support business reviews, forecasting and commercial decision-making.
  • Partner with licensing agencies and licensees to coordinate product development milestones and retail launch activities.
  • Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Franchise, Creative and Product Development teams to support successful commercial execution.
  • Coordinate creative approval processes and ensure compliance with Mattel brand guidelines.
  • Coordinate internal approvals, product submissions and cross-functional workflows to ensure timely delivery of key milestones.
  • Collaborate with regional and global Consumer Products teams to ensure alignment with franchise priorities and licensing processes.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For: 

  • Marketing/Business degree or other relevant tertiary qualification.
  • 3-5 years' experience in consumer products, licensing, FMCG, retail or another relevant commercial environment.
  • Experience working with external partners, agencies, distributors or commercial customers.
  • Understanding of licensing, brand management, product development or commercial operations.
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills.
  • Experience working collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
  • Experience within the consumer products, entertainment or licensing industry is advantageous.
  • Strong coordination and project management capability.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, matrixed and multicultural environment.
