Job Overview
Maskoid Technologies is looking for a multi-skilled IT Network & Hardware Administrator to manage and maintain the company's complete IT infrastructure.
The role involves office IT support, hardware troubleshooting, system and network administration, server management, website hosting and deployment, DNS/SSL management, WordPress administration, backups, security, monitoring, and basic Python automation.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable handling day-to-day employee IT issues as well as independently managing servers, networks, hosting environments, website deployments, and infrastructure-related tasks.
Roles & Responsibilities
1. Office IT Support & Hardware
Troubleshoot employee IT issues including system slowness, keyboard/mouse, monitor, audio, and peripheral issues.
Install and configure operating systems, office applications, security tools, and required software.
Maintain desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and other IT peripherals.
Ensure all office IT systems are operational, secure, and properly maintained.
Maintain inventory and stock of IT accessories, spare hardware, and components.
2. System & Network Administration
Install, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux servers.
Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, and user accounts.
Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, Wi-Fi access points, and NAS devices.
Troubleshoot LAN, Wi-Fi, Internet, and connectivity-related issues.
Perform OS updates, security patches, driver installations, and firmware upgrades.
Manage basic firewall and VPN configurations.
3. Website Hosting, Deployment & Server Management
Deploy websites on cPanel, Plesk, VPS, and cloud hosting environments.
Manage DNS records including A, CNAME, MX, TXT, SPF, DKIM, and SRV.
Perform website and server migrations.
Install, renew, and troubleshoot SSL certificates.
Troubleshoot server and hosting issues such as:
High CPU/RAM usage
HTTP 500/503 errors
Database errors
Email delivery issues
Maintain backups of hosting accounts, databases, and website files.
Monitor website uptime and server performance.
4. WordPress Website Management
Install and configure WordPress on hosting environments.
Manage WordPress themes, plugins, and updates.
Troubleshoot basic WordPress issues including plugin conflicts, theme issues, and database connection errors.
Perform WordPress website backup and restoration.
Perform basic performance optimization including caching, image optimization, and plugin cleanup.
Handle basic page edits, content updates, and layout changes when required.
5. System Monitoring & Performance
Perform daily server and system health checks.
Monitor server load, storage, memory, and network performance.
Ensure high uptime and reliability of internal systems and services.
Identify performance bottlenecks and take corrective action.
Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting systems.
6. Backup, Security & Compliance
Manage daily and weekly backups of systems, servers, databases, and critical data.
Perform periodic restoration tests to verify backup integrity.
Manage endpoint protection, antivirus, and IT security controls.
Manage access controls and password management systems.
Follow and maintain IT security and operational standards.
7. Domain, SSL & IT Documentation
Manage domain purchases, renewals, transfers, and DNS updates.
Manage SSL installation, renewal, and troubleshooting.
Maintain IT documentation, including:
SOPs
Network diagrams
DNS documentation
Server and hosting documentation
IT asset information
Access and configuration records
8. Vendor & Service Provider Coordination
Coordinate with hosting providers, cloud vendors, IT suppliers, and service providers.
Manage AMC agreements, warranty claims, and technical support escalations.
Coordinate software and service renewals.
Track licenses, subscriptions, and related IT services.
9. Automation & Python Scripting
Develop basic Python scripts to automate repetitive IT tasks.
Automate tasks such as system checks, log monitoring, and backup validation.
Create simple automation tools for deployment, reporting, and monitoring.
Maintain and improve existing IT automation scripts.
