Job Description
1. Product & Portfolio full life cycle management
- Build product positioning, target species/application priorities and value propositions, execute product strategy and roadmap by region/channel/species.
- Contribute to SKU-level decisions (launches, repositioning, upgrades, phase-outs) with structured analysis on volume, margin and competitive fit.
- Design product Go-to-Market strategy (marketing activity plan and promotional materials of PPT, brochure, manuals, videos, etc).
2. Market & Customer Insight
- Conduct market intelligence on the animal nutrition value chain: market sizing by species and region, growth drivers, competitor benchmarking, pricing dynamics and substitution risk.
- Translate Voice-of-Customer from key accounts (integrators, feed mills, pet food producers) and distributors into clear product, technical and service requirements.
- Track regulatory changes (e.g. antibiotic reduction, food safety, sustainability), industry trends (precision feeding, alternative proteins, methane reduction, gut health) and translate into product opportunities.
3. Technical Positioning & Trial Support
- Act as commercial-technical owner for assigned products: own the product story, mode of action, dose-response evidence and target performance claims.
- Design and coordinate animal trials with R&D, application teams and external research partners (universities, contract research organizations, key customers); ensure trial protocols generate decision-grade evidence.
- Build evidence library: trial reports, white papers, ROI calculators, and species-specific application guides.
4. Commercial Enablement
- Support pricing management: price maintenance, regional differentiation, value-based pricing analysis.
- Provide product/solution training and promotion tools for sales team, and support key account projects;
- Join key customer visits and technical seminars to support negotiations, tenders and product introductions.
5. Cross-functional Collaboration
- Maintain efficient communication with R&D, supply chain, sales, regulatory, quality control department and global team to ensure the efficient launch of products.
- Collaborate with Marketing & Communications on content, technical articles, technical seminars, customer conferences, industry trade shows (e.g.,VIV, EuroTier, IPPE, VICTAM, Feed forum) , collect market feedback and continuously optimize promotion strategy.
6. Product Performance Tracking & Regular portfolio review
- Track product KPIs: revenue, volume, gross margin, share of wallet by key account, NPD vitality index, win/loss rate, time-to-market.
- Provide regular portfolio reviews and ad-hoc analyses
Qualifications
Job Requirements
- Master's degree or above, majoring in animal nutrition, animal science, veterinary medicine or a closely related discipline.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in animal nutrition, feed industry, specialty feed ingredients at feed mills, integrators, premix companies, additives, specialty ingredient suppliers, animal health companies, or pet food companies.
- Solid understanding of animal nutrition and feed ingredient categories: digestive physiology, nutrient requirements, feed formulation, and performance metrics across at least one priority species; working knowledge of specialty feed ingredient categories: such as phospholipids/emulsifiers, probiotics/prebiotics/postbiotics, or functional proteins/peptides.
- Proficient in using Office software (Word/Excel/PowerPoint); who can use design or content tools are preferred, such as Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop/ InDesign/Canva, etc.
- Excellent written and spoken English; an additional regional language is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and project management capabilities
- Strong self-motivation and a spirit of teamwork
- Be able to accept 50-60% business trips and adapt to the technical support and customer visit needs of the national market
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
- Hands-on experience designing or interpreting animal performance trials (in vivo, in vitro, or commercial trials).
- Exposure to emerging areas: fermentation-derived feed additives, precision livestock farming, alternative proteins (insect, single-cell, algae), methane reduction or sustainability claims in feed.
- Direct exposure to Asia-Pacific or other high-growth animal nutrition markets.
- Experience using AI/data tools for market analysis, pricing optimization, sales enablement or trial-data analysis
