Logic20/20 is seeking a strategic, entrepreneurial Director, Energy & Utilities to help drive the growth of our consulting business with utility clients. This is a builder role for a leader who is energized by creating and scaling—developing trusted client relationships, shaping market-relevant consulting offerings, mentoring and growing teams, and expanding the practice while staying closely connected to client delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Practice Leadership

• Develop and execute growth strategy for Utilities, expanding existing client relationships, and driving sustainable revenue growth.
• Lead business development efforts include opportunity qualification, solution strategy, proposal development, pricing, and executive presentations to win new consulting engagements.
• Partner with sales, marketing, and practice leaders to develop industry offerings, thought leadership, strategic partnerships, and go-to-market initiatives that strengthen Logic20/20's Utilities presence.
• Build and scale the practice by identifying capability gaps, recruiting top consulting talent, mentoring consultants, and establishing operational processes that support long-term growth.

Client Delivery & Practice Excellence 

• Provide executive oversight and strategic leadership for Utilities consulting engagements, ensuring successful delivery, exceptional client outcomes, and long-term account growth.
• Serve as an executive sponsor and senior advisor on key client engagements, bringing deep industry expertise to solve complex business and technology challenges.
• Collaborate with delivery teams to maintain high-quality execution, promote consulting best practices, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with measurable business value.
• Contribute subject matter expertise to strategic client initiatives while remaining selectively billable on high-impact engagements.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of consulting or professional services experience, with demonstrated leadership delivering complex business and technology transformation initiatives.
• Significant experience working with utility clients, with a strong understanding of the industry’s business, operational, regulatory, and technology landscape.
• Proven experience leading and delivering consulting engagements within one or more of Logic20/20’s core capabilities, such as AI & Analytics, Digital Transformation, Strategy & Operations, Technology & Cloud, Grid Modernization, or related business and technology transformation areas.
• Demonstrated ability to connect industry challenges with business and technology solutions, translating client needs into actionable consulting engagements and measurable outcomes.
• Proven success developing executive-level client relationships and identifying, shaping, and expanding consulting opportunities.
• Experience leading the full business development lifecycle, including opportunity qualification, solution development, proposals, pricing, presentations, and contract negotiations.
• Track record of growing accounts, capabilities, or consulting practices through a combination of business development, delivery excellence, and team development.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary consulting teams and mentoring managers, consultants, and technical professionals.
• Ability to operate effectively across both growth and delivery responsibilities, including serving as an executive sponsor or senior advisor while remaining selectively billable.
• Strong executive presence and communication skills, with the ability to engage senior utility leaders and translate complex business and technology topics into clear strategic recommendations.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

At Logic20/20, we believe in recognizing and rewarding exceptional talent. Logic20/20 offers a competitive compensation package, with a target base salary range of $225,000 - $250,000. The final base salary offered is dependent on factors such as relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and location. Eligible employees may also qualify for performance-based bonuses and other incentives.
