Job Description

The primary role of a CNC Lathe Operator is to efficiently and safely operate various pieces of CNC lathe equipment. This is hands-on role and is expected to take ownership of the quality and quantity of product ran during his/her shift. This role is expected to be a self-starter and will receive general supervision from the Department Foreman. This role is expected to be actively involved in any continual process improvements of this and other departments. This role is expected to be part of a cross-functional team that requires minimal direct supervision. This role will also have other tasks assigned based upon the current work load and the needs of the company and customer.

Qualifications

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

The knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform the daily tasks and job duties bulleted above are as follows:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must be able to legally work in the United States. 
  • Must be willing to work Over-Time, alternate shifts, and weekends as/if needed on short notice. 
  • Ability to use a personal computer to perform inquires and to update information. 
  • Must have a working knowledge of arithmetic and geometry and know how to apply.
  • Must be able to demonstrate the use of various measuring devices such as calipers, height gauges, set-up blocks, tape measures, etc.… 
  • Must be able and willing to train new hires or new departmental transfers. 
  • Must be able and comfortable working in a team-driven environment. 
  • Must be a self-starter requiring minimal supervision that is results driven. 
  • Must be able to demonstrate troubleshooting and problem solving skills. 
  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to read engineering style drawings, diagrams, and sketches. 
  • Must be able to accurately and legibly complete various forms of paperwork. 
  • Must be able to follow instructions, policies, and procedures on how to pick, prepare, stage, restock, verify, and count inventory. 
  • Will be expected to assist in the maintenance and cleanliness of the machine and the work area.
  • Ability to multi-task. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Regular fulltime hourly employees also have the opportunity for earn additional bonus compensation up to $300 per quarter via our Key Performance Incentive (KPI) program.
