Job Description

This role can be based remote or hybrid across approved U.S. locations, outside of the New York City and San Francisco Bay Area.

At LinkedIn, our approach to flexible work is centered on trust and optimized for culture, connection, clarity, and the evolving needs of our business. This role may be remote or hybrid. At LinkedIn, hybrid roles are performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team. Remote roles are performed from the designated home work location upon time of hire, and any changes to this home work location requires a review of remote status and approval.

LinkedIn’s Global Paid Media team is responsible for paid media across LinkedIn’s B2C and B2B businesses. The team plans and activates campaigns across a complex portfolio of audiences, markets, channels, and business objectives, with outcomes spanning subscription growth, marketing-qualified pipeline, brand lift, member growth and engagement, and MMM-attributed business contribution.

We are looking for a Senior Manager, Paid Media AI and Systems to reshape how we plan, build, launch, optimize, and learn from paid media campaigns.

Combining deep performance marketing expertise with practical fluency in AI, automation, data, and marketing technology, this leader will look across the full paid media job to be done. The goal is to find the decisions and workflows where AI can create the greatest value. They will then turn those opportunities into new capabilities that improve speed, quality, performance, and team capacity.

Much of that work starts with the practitioners. Working side-by-side with the paid media team, they will surface the manual work, fragmented systems, inconsistent processes, and information gaps that hold the team back today. With MarTech, Analytics, creative teams, and agency partners, they will turn those needs into scalable workflows, intelligent tools, shared systems, and reusable AI capabilities.

Because the role is highly cross-functional, the right candidate must move comfortably between marketing strategy and technical solution design. They know how paid media campaigns perform and where automation can improve the work. They also have the leadership skills to take an idea from concept through testing, launch, adoption, and measurable impact.

Ultimately, we will measure success by the impact on both team performance and media outcomes: marketers who move from planning to launch faster, spot optimization opportunities earlier, make stronger decisions, and apply learnings consistently across campaigns and paid media programs.

Responsibilities

  • Own the AI transformation roadmap for the Global Paid Media team, partnering with MarTech, our media agencies, and other internal and external partners to define, prioritize, and ship the capabilities that change how the team works.
  • Apply AI, automation, and decision-support capabilities across audience strategy, investment planning, creative development, campaign activation, in-flight optimization, experimentation, measurement, and insight generation.
  • Drive performance marketing automation capabilities that increase learning agenda velocity across the business.
  • Lead the product vision, use-case development, workflow design, and business requirements for internal paid media tooling, partnering with MarTech and other technical teams on architecture, integrations, security, production deployment, and ongoing support.
  • Streamline workflows across the team's quarterly cadence (RFP to brief, brief to media plan, plan to launch, launch to reporting, reporting to insights), identifying and removing manual handoffs, redundant approvals, and inconsistent rituals.
  • Build and curate a reusable library of AI-assisted workflows, skills, tools, prompts, and supporting context that helps paid media practitioners complete common tasks more effectively. Establish appropriate standards for quality, access, governance, and human review in partnership with MarTech and other technical stakeholders.
  • Act as the central connector of transformational activity, convening the right cross-functional partners (MarTech, Brand, creative agencies, media agencies) at the right moments and ensuring nothing stalls in handoff.
  • Define and lead the change-management plan for every new tool and process, including documentation, training, office hours, and adoption measurement. Tools that don't get used are tools that didn't ship correctly.
  • Stay continuously curious about new technologies, platforms, MCP servers, agentic tools, and emerging AI harnesses. Evaluate, pilot, and onboard the ones that earn their place in the team's stack.
  • Define the success metrics for the team's operating model (cycle times, adoption rates, manual touch points eliminated, AI skill invocation rates, quality scores) and report against them on a quarterly basis.
  • Partner with our agency-of-record on shared documentation standards, automation, QA tooling, and reporting templates, ensuring LinkedIn's internal system of record stays authoritative.
  • Act as the internal thought leader and translator between paid media practitioners and MarTech teams who build the systems they use, ensuring the team's domain expertise shapes what gets built.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in marketing, business, media, operations, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in paid media, performance marketing, marketing operations, MarTech, or a closely related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of paid media workflows, including campaign briefs, media plans, audience strategy, creative development, trafficking, QA, optimization, experimentation, measurement, reporting, and campaign learning.
  • Strong performance marketing background with clear understanding of platforms such as Google Ads, Meta Ads, TikTok Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Reddit, etc and the strategies used to drive impact.
  • Demonstrated fluency with modern AI tools, including agentic harnesses (Claude Code, ChatGPT Agents, Microsoft 365 Copilot), and a working understanding of how skills, tools, and MCP-style integrations are composed, scaled, and leveraged across workflows and teams.
  • A strong working knowledge of the paid media stack (DSPs like DV360, Yahoo, or Trade Desk, search platforms like SA360, MMPs, Insights platforms, Media mix modeling platforms, etc) and a clear understanding of where each fits in the planning, activation, and measurement cycle.
  • Experience driving documentation standardization, template adoption, and workflow consistency across multiple business units or marketing teams.
  • Experience working with global agency partners and managing shared tooling, documentation, and automation across an in-house team and an external AOR.
  • Strong written communication. Able to articulate a complex technical workflow in language a marketer, an engineer, and an exec each understand.

Suggested Skills

  • Cross-Functional Partnership (MarTech, Engineering, Agency)
  • Templatization and Documentation Standardization
